I have received two phone calls in less than 24 hrs. Both voicemails said exactly the same thing. "This message in intended for you from criminal and Justice legal law services. This call is in reference to a legal matter. Get in touch with me as soon as possible on my number 315-675-50091. I repeat 315-675-5091 and if you fail to return the call. you will be the one who's gonna face the legal consequences thank you. Please don't disregard this message."

    REALLY!!!!
This is not the first call I have gotten the first one was like 2 years ago and it scared me to death. I spoke with attorneys in my family and police officers I know. Now I work for a law office and this stuff is just meant to intend to upset people out of their hard earned money..

They will tell you that you received a payday  or online loan sometime before a certain month and year. That, that specific individual doesn't have access to all the specific information. That they will have you arrested at home or at your job and will name the company you worked for at the time of the payday loan.  They usually have gotten this from a loan application you filled out and you may not have actually gotten a loan at any point. I know I did a few years ago which is what scared me. But I looked up into my bank statement and the contract I printed and I paid everything off per the agreement. In fact it was taken out of my paycheck every month.

I get one of these calls from different number every few months. It is so annoying and they get rude if you ask questions, one guy even when I said i am willing to take care of it so don't go to jail as long as they send an affidavit of claim, he said you will be going to jail. the cops will be there tomorrow and hung up.

    COPS NEVER CAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
