I've had to turn off my answering machine as they've called back more than 6 x's.

- Resident47 replies to DonReally, now ... Your local lawmakers must be very chummy with call center lobbyists. The FTC would be quite surprised to learn that a burst of business calls coming that late would be merely "bad manners". Sales calls and debt collectors are held to the same default thirteen hour window, which ends at 21:00 in the call recipient's time zone. If Paula's calls were regarding a debt they would per FDCPA be considered "annoying and harassing" besides.
If pressed I would hold commercial fundraisers to the TCPA just like pure sales callers, since they do not enjoy the same DNC exemption as the so-called "charities" which hire them. Surveyors are not held to any time limits, but most of them play nice and stay close to the default hours in TCPA.
While it's true the scam callers like to fudge the issue of DNC exemption, any call which serves or assists a sales purpose is covered by the Telemarketing Sales Rule, and therefore covered by the DNC. Please do cite the official document or case law which tells otherwise. - AnonymThis company www.netpdl.com has ZERO ethics and wants personal information so they can ROB you. BEWARE and AVOID these scam artists.
They get your number and call non stop at all hours and have been reported to FCC, BBB and suggest you do the same so they get shut down ASAP.- Caller: www.netpdl.com
- Matlanta| 1 replyCalled twice within a few minutes. Answered second time -- said she was looking for "Ed Johnson" and that he had listed my number on an application but she could not disclose what the application was for unless I was Ed Johnson...
- Steve replies to Don| 1 replyDon, your comment is not fact in Ohio... the FTC has the following rules:
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has added the following rules for telemarketing calls:
• Recorded-voice messages must, at the beginning of the message, identify the person or business responsible for making the call.
• Recorded-voice messages must provide a telephone number for the person or business responsible for making the call.
• No telephone solicitations may be made to residences after 9:00 p.m. or before 8:00 a.m.
• Those who make telemarketing calls to residences must maintain their own do-not-call lists, must have a written policy available on demand, and must train their employees.
• Residents can demand that a telemarketer add their number to the caller’s own do-not-call list. The caller must honor this request within a reasonable time (not more than 30 days), and for the following five years. - Steve replies to SteveSorry, fat fingered FCC not FTC.

- TrueThis company is very weird they called me 12 times in one day, on my cel phone. They left two messages about login information. I never applied with them in the first. I felt something was wrong with this place. I have applied with other loan companies in the past never received those many calls and didn't have an echo of myself in the back ground either. (TOTAL SCAM - I FELT THAT). I'm glad I read your comments.

- Anonym replies to Don McReynolds| 11 repliesI applied for a loan through a totally different company. I only spoke to only one person and it wasn't netpdl. I recieved a loan for three hundred from starcash. Netpdl took upon themselves to put 200 hundred dollars in my account and then charge me 55.00 twice a week
- anonymous replies to AnonymThis is fraud. Go to your bank immediately, tell them what happened, and ask them to reverse all Netpdl transactions. Do not deal with Netpdl, deal only with your bank.
