Bleep then robo "Are you still there" then dropped (mycell)

Called today. ID read DEFSECURE. No message left.

I answered with a very heavy accent "allo, allo, no reply.
I now answer phones that have a name, and say I am from the Fraud Division of LVMPD and I am a police officer. That gets them off fast!

Another run of the mill "see if anybody picks up" test. If you pick up, the robot software records that there is somebody at the line and will notify the owner to sell the number.

Caller asked for HR department - Display on phone said "Not In Use" where it should be a company or person's name

Lady called - said she was from Allstate - and asked for someone here.  The person here said they didn't know of any reason that company would. Lady wouldn't leave a message.  Caller ID said 'not in use'.  Scam.

Guy called  - supposedly from Allstate- wanting to talk to our human resource dept.  I said she wasn't in (she was).  Definitely sounds like a boiler room in the background.  No doubt a scammer.
