I have been getting these every 2-4 days for at least a month.  8am-10am, very annoying.  I have never answered a call from this number so I don't know why they are so persistent.  Am going to report.

They have called me 6 times in 10 days.  I only answered the first time and informed them that I am not the person they are asking for.  I've ignored all the other calls.  As I suspected, once they found out my number was valid, they shared it and I've gotten countless junk calls in the past few days.

Called me again at 5:00 pm sunday afternoon.

Called this morning before 9:00.  Good thing I haven't had the flu and was trying to sleep in or anything. o_0

keep receiving calls from this number! Very annoying, and they are relentless. I am going to have to contact PA. Att. General's office. Hopefully they will fine these callers.

rec'd same call today. No message left but my caller id is showing "childhood Leukemia"

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE CHILDHOOD LEUKEMIA CENTER!!  This is another phishing scam, ie, a**holes trying to get your credit card info.  I'd bet that if you asked for an address to send a check too, they'd hang up!

While I totally agree regarding not answering the phone, this has NO effect on the number of calls.  The same idiots call dozens of times even though I have never answered the phone.  The amount of calls does not decrease, and I DO have a right to still complain when they call early on a weekend morning and wake me up!

Two months straight of calling my cell phone.  This morning, it was at 8:06 am.  I'm retired and enjoy sleeping late on occasion.  The Do Not Call registry is useless and doesn't bother shutting these people down.  One of these days I'm going to have to stop complaining and start writing to the attorney general.  Especially since these calls are not really from a "Childhood Leukemia" charity.  

They are scammers using a name that pulls at your heartstrings and gets you to part with your money.  My advice on that subject is to donate to the charity of your choice, and when you are confronted with something like these people, you can say, "I donate to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude's Research Hospital, but thank you for your call" or whatever.....

This is not true. They keep calling even if you never pick up your phone, which I do not. I even turned my ringer off so could not pick it up if I wanted to. I set my voicemail to pick up after 1 ring and my message is the recording that says "This number has been disconnected. Please hang up and dial again...." I found the sound clip on youtube and set it as my message. (people who I actually want to reach me call my cell phone - not this number) This works with most telemarketers except these damn childhood leukemia people who call me about 3 times every day.

Childhood Leukemia, 317-472-8016 called.  I answered the phone, nobody said anything. So I used the blocked feature on my telephone.

Well, they've started up with the scam calls again.  Following their old pattern, I expect to get an early morning call from these people tomorrow.

"THE CHILDHOOD LEUKEMIA CENTER" is a fictitious name designed to sound like organizations that really do support the research and treatment of childhood leukemia.

The phone number 317-472-8016 is not associated with the legitimate organizations.

Give your personal information, whatever the caller wants, and you've been duped.

Do not answer. If you do, just hang up.

Do Not Call dot Gov will not do anything about charity places calling as they ARE allowed to call you.
This is why scammers pretent to be an orginization for such to get away with it, same way with them annoying servey phone calls.

These calls were constant until a few weeks ago - seems that it got better about the time that I heard that Congress passed something (in addition to the Do Not Call list) to prevent unsolicited calls.  But - they are back.  My husband is in his 60's and works an overnight shift. Every interruption to his daytime sleep is taking a toll on his health.  We have successfully eliminated every unwanted call except for this one.  If anyone knows how to make them stop, please advise.

They are relentless. The calls don't stop and they just change the number if you block it. I can only block 10 numbers at a time and it's usually full. Every time I buy something off the internet, there's usually an increase of phone calls. Although it's annoying, I'm too lazy to got through the hassle of submitting the number to my Attorney General. Although I might go the extra mile to make a buck or two off of them. I started recieving these calls last week.The first time I answered they tried speaking to me like they've known me my whole lofe which is irritating.i politely told them i could not help in any way and hung up.They are affiliated with the same people who claim to be Card member Services and are out to get any non public info to scam you.My solution?I bought a loud whistle and now anytime I get one of these calls I answer,make sure I get a live person and blow said whistle as loud as I can.happy to report the calls have lowered in frequency and am sure if I continue to do this they will eventually stop.If they continue I'm getting a blow horn can that my friend uses on his boat as it's much louder.
