- AundreaI did not answer when they called, then called back from another number. It was an answering machine identifying themselves as "Student Loan Counseling Services" and "please stay on the line for a representative." I hung up.
- rustyemsI received this call at 842 PM while I was in a hospital room with a seriously ill friend. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. So these clowns can call at any time day or night? There appears to be no stopping this harassment. I get more robo calls on my Android than I ever did on my IPhone.
- BrooksThese guys called and I finally answered. They asked me to verify my info. I told them, they called me therefore they should have it on file and I would not verify anything.

- CoryThis is, in fact, Student Loan Counseling Services. The reason they are calling you, is because they are trying to assist you in bringing your student loans up to date. They are actually very helpful in giving you your options on repayment, such as temporary hardship forbearances. They are legit, and have called me multiple times in the past. While they're on the phone with you, they get you transferred to the original lender (in my case, MOHELA) and get you brought up to current so you don't get sent to collections. They're not trying to harrass you, they're actually trying to help.

- LLWHITSONI have gotten a call from this number every day for the past 2 weeks, but they never leave a message. If, in fact they are Student Loan Assistance as some have said, then they are confused. I paid off my one and only student loan in 1970!!
- rustyemswell, these people must go through phone numbers and then recall numbers they have called before. So now they have gotten back to me, As before if I don't recognize the number then I don't pick up. I will try and block the number to keep from being bothered.

- AJN4 missed calls. 0 messages. I have never had a student loan in my life. Spammers.
- rustyems| 1 replyI see where I have gotten another call from these people. If they are related to student loans then ,yes, I have one. BIG mistake. I consolidated twice with MOHELA. Each time apparently that reset the P&I progressively higher. Winkepedia reported that this company is very profitable for its investors. No mention about the students they burn. The only way for me to stop them is to go to court. IE: DeVry University said I did not qualify for student aid and returned $7000 to MOHELA. MOHELA took the money but has not told me what they did with it. On a single day they notified me that I owed them $67,000 and then on the same day said I owed them $88,000. They took over $3000 from my income last year but won't tell me what or where they did with the money. If I work, they take 15% of my income. Now that I am 65 and qualify for Social Security they will take another 15% from that. For you "kids" under 25 or the new grads with an obligation to MOHELA, you now can look forward to being hounded by these people for the rest of your life until they get what they think is owed to them whether it is correct or not. As far as I am concerned they all got their training from ENRON.

- rustyemsthis phone number rang once before it stopped. I came to this site to identify it. Now I recognize it. They must go through all numbers once a year. I couldn't stand their harassment a year ago and don't like it anymore now. Phone blocker helps.

- StillstudentWow, really? Student Loan Counseling Services? I have a week before I even graduate, forget about the 6mo grace period after graduating. Ugggh!
- rustyems| 1 replyWell, these clowns must have an autoringer that goes through all the numbers they have and then recyle them like an 8 track lear tape that is endless then plays back again. so now I am up to be called.and bothered by them. I don't owe these people a dime so they must get numbers to harass people in the hopes of getting a split some kind of way like the 10% bookies make on whatever they can make.. I'll try a phone blocker again to keep them from harassing me day and night like they did earlier theis year. Must be end of the year phone rush.

Hung up on my answering machine. - John replies to rustyemsPeople paying for college with Student Loans are fools. I had no choice but to use them and was 100% lied to by the University I attended. I was told I would have the option of various payment plans, but truth be told, you do not. There are a couple options, but if they do not fit into your budget, you are simply out of luck. After Sallie Mae stuck me in 'default', I had to fight this in court. Guess what? You lose. You cannot argue student loans in court, regardless of what you think or have been told. The court will not necessarily agree with you taking a 25 year repayment plan either. In my case, the court set it up on an 8 year repayment plan, even though my income is not able to handle that. My fight was with the money I had not accepted my Senior year. Sallie Mae had sent my school approximately $12,000, of which I declined as I was working and able to pay myself. That money mysteriously turned up in my loan repayment paperwork and simply because the loan company says they have no record of the money being returned (even though they have no record the check was ever cashed by myself or the university I attended), I am legally obligated to repay the debt. How would you like to have a court side against you when the loan company can verify a check was not cashed? Don't be a fool. Any loan they "claim" you took will have to be repaid, even if you didn't accept it. This is a mafia type service run by crooks and thieves.
- BobThese Morons are calling a Government Nuclear Power Plant on call phone that is on the "Do Not Call" list. When it was added to the DNC list is when we started recieving calls from several different Spammers we've been using this number for several years. I'm fairly sure that the plant doesn't have any outstanding college loans. I've added the number to the spammers list so that they can no longer make the phone ring.

- mac16Have received several calls from this number, but not a single message. It appears from other posts that this is to help get caught up on student loans. My one and only student loan was paid in full, and in fact over-paid and received a check back, over 3 years ago and I was never late with a single payment. Not sure why over the last 12 months I have started to receive calls from this group.
