Student Loan - using different numbers, saying they were calling for "some other person", then saying they would correct the wrong number error, then calls me back back two days later. Just called them back again and Pam answered this time and said my number was still attached to that same person and she would correct it her self and I gave her two more numbers that were also calling me that she said would correct also.Those numbers were 515-344-3816 and 888-434-6548. Pam was very nice and said to ask for her by name should any other numbers from the student loan center call me again. She also added that it might take a couple of days for correcting these numbers plus four more numbers that came up on her search of my phone number. She also added that the data that the main computer was using go's back before 7 years. I got my phone number in Mississippi seven years ago. Most likely that student had my number before I was given it. She said the new Federal Student Loan program has just recently received major funding to help students get there loans reduced or paid off. Pam said its been many years since student loan funding / counseling has been activated and in my case I most likely got a recycled phone number that was owned by a student. Pam was professional, patient and very transparent about her company. Hope this helps someone else see the problems with old data and getting recycled phone numbers. If I had a student loan outstanding I would not have any problem in calling to see what the new Student Loan Forgiveness program is all about. I believe they just want to help you figure out how you can get your loan paid off or even get it forgiven. No Fear! Henry in Mississippi.
