Caller ID, ' Minnesota ', so of course we did not pick up !
They did hang on till the recorder turned on, heard bkgrd foreign linguistics, then single exclamation, and then hung up  :-)

We called the number back later, multiple rings but no pickup nooor voicemail LoL

The call comes in but they don't speak when I answer.  SCAM

someone with an Indian accent called and claimed i had some message from my laptop, they knew my last name, but i was suspicious. wanted me to run MsConfig on my laptop. asked about running or not running programs, asked if i knew how to install the operating system on my laptop. when i said i know how to do a factory reset they hung up

Hung on through the recording, then hung up.

Showed as "Minnesota"

Called claiming to be a certified technician from Microsoft and that my computer would freeze today if I didn't cooperate with the male caller with a foreign accent who said he was located in Minnesota. Wanted the id number off my PC. Caller was persistent andf convincing. I gave him no information, hung up and didn't call the number back.

I received a call from this number he claimed to be George Williams from somewhere in Minnesota.  He claimed to work for IBWS.  He gave me the id number of a computer but I did not check if it was mine.  He indicated he did troubleshooting on windows 10 and 11.

Figured it was a crap call and I was right.  It was 'William' calling about the 'problem' with my computer.  I didn't let him get any further before I told him my thoughts on the matter and what he could do.  Scumbags.
