they call asking for money or atating they are a collectio agengy if u dont pay them they you will face off charges.. and you will be arrested the person name janice hunter 321-222-1084 we call back the number and she answer in a ruede an nasty actitid...  no colection agency will do that ....

received a call from this number, Officer Logan.  She stated that I owed 1550.00 to a company called E Financial and if I didn't make arrangements to pay it today, she would swear a warrant for my arrest.  I advised her that I had filed bankruptcy which was discharged in February of this year and when I gave her my case# she hung up on me.  
Believe this to be a "scam".  I looked up the number and this is what I found.  She did not give me the name of the company she was calling from.

You're right - it IS a scam.  First of all, an "officer" - "officer" of what?  Scammers use this title to intimidate people into thinking the caller is in law enforcement.  Law enforcement is not in the business of debt collection.  It is illegal to threaten people this way to collect a debt.  Debt is a civil, not criminal matter, so there would be NO charges.  "Officer Logan" did not identify the company she was calling from, which is another red flag.  

Never pay money to some random caller unless they send you a debt validation letter (per the FDCPA) proving that you owe a debt and that they are licensed to collect said debt in your state.  You did the right thing by refusing to be intimidated by her.  Report the call to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  If "Officer Logan" calls back, let her know that all calls she makes to you are being recorded to give to your attorney for multiple violations of the FDCPA (even if you don't have an attorney).
