i received a call 01-05-09 they left a message on my answering machine asking if i were interested in renting or selling my timeshare. as i had already had it listed with a company. so i called the number back the following day and talked to a Ann Johnson. she asked if i was interested in selling my timeshare and i said yes. she said that she has been with resort equity marketing for 1yr 2 mths. she said that they could guarantee a sell of my timeshare of min. of $32,000.00 and that it would guarantee to sell within 6 months. she said that i would only be out $985.00 for a life time. that when i agreed to give them the right to sell my property they would send me a certified package that had all the information that she had went over with me. she said that if i needed any more information that i could look on the web site which is www.rem2sell.com and that if i had any more questions that i could call her back. and the number to call was 1-800-672-7034 ext. 209. but the number that she called me from was the 321-282-0600 as alot of the ones on this thread. so i got on the web to check with the bbb to see if this company is ligit and i found this site. and i'm glad that i did because i had every intention to send them the $985.00 that they had requested and they would have gotten them another sucker to add to their list. thanks to all of you for your comments that prevented me from making a mistake. thanks again n God Bless

Got a call from Jason, regarding selling or renting my timeshare to alarge corp. I was not too sure because the property was not in Florida, but at Hilton Heads, SC. He kept calling repeatedly. I decided that he has to give methe website for me to browse through. He was insistent on walking me through it, but I said I would prefer to check. He wanted a listing fee of $1299. upfront. I just stumbled across this site. I now know what to say to him. Drop it!! It is a SCAM!!

I am on the Do Not Call Registry as well.Tina called me,she said she got my information from a martketing research group.(Funny thing she mentioned a property I no longer have.)
I had her call back the next day,she called back on a different#.Rem2 wants $1,400.00 to list the unit. She also offered 3000-4500 to rent.
I called my congressman's office and asked how to verify a scam. Got my answer.Beware, especially in this current climate. Many people are unloading their TS's as a means of cost effectivness. The hawks are out there.

    Hi there .
Did resort equity sell your timeshare for you?  And did you get about what they said for it?  Curios thinking about going this route but of course worried about getting scammed.  They want my upfront $ before they send me anything.  Any info from you would be geat.  Also where is your timeshare located?

    Hi
I`ve being getting calls for the last 2 weeks to advertise with REM. Now that i`ve being asking questions regarding the web site, all of the sudden their web site is under construction. I went on www.orlando.bbb.org for Better Business Bureau and it doesnt look good. They got an F .. LOWEST SCORE. So they are suppose to call me tommorow. And i got the answer for them... NO THANKS... and on BBB they say that they ask from 295. to 600. and to me it was 1200. but they brought it down to 995... So be careful...

Call frim Resort Equity Marketing...Caller (femaile) represented herself as being from Wyndham Vacation Resorts and wanted to know if we would be using our timeshare or did we want to rent it. Then I called and talked to a supervisor, Mr. Tom York who evaded most questions.

You do realize that a very large marketing company will have many different lines coming in and out. So whenever a nrep uses their phone, it may pick anyone of several phone numbers going in or out! That doesn't mean theres anything wrong! Call Disney have a rep help you, then have rep call you few times, you will see each timethe rep calls it's a different number simce they have so many lines! Come on, use your head, you don't sound too bright!

I am so glad that I read info from this website as well. My husband and I got a call as well from this company stating that they could rent our property for $4100 a week (guys name was Alberto). Then a week later another rep called us (Penelope Miller) stating she could rent it for $6200 a week but we would have to give her and answer immediately as the price would drop. She also wanted to rent out our 1 bedroom unit in Hawaii which we do not have, we own a two bedroom unit. I knew it sounded too good to be true so I looked up the phone # she called me from 321-282-0600 and found this website. Thank you so much! It is a SCAM and I called and asked to be put on their do not call list

A guy named Alan Lef (that's all the last name he would give me) called me and said he could rent out my time share for 2300 a week to corporate execs who wanted to vacation. Then he proceeded to ask without stopping will we be putting this on a major credit card or debit card? I immediately got suspicious and told him I had to do research about the company he worked for. He told me to go to www.rem2sell.com and see that they are listed in the BBB which I did. I still didn't believe it. Needless to say when I called him back he asked me about a husband I didn't have but claimed to have all the info about my timeshare. BEWARE!!!!!! Don't be fooled by these people. I thank God I wasn't!
