Called around noon. Left a VM: IRS/Treasury enforcement action against you. Call us back and co-operate, or else!

Got one here in Massachusetts, 4/1/16 3:04 pm EDT; wish it were an April Fool's joke, but it's actually an attempted crime.

They called here at 12:09 pacific time. Same kind of call. Could barely understand the stupid guy cause his recording was so bad. Too bad he will be the one going before a Magistarate ang Grand Jury one day soon. Hope they catch these losers! Oh and we are in Spokane, WA.

I had a call and they left a voicemail threatening me to call back or else. I called just to see what the heck it was about. A woman with a thick Indian accent asked me a couple of questions, I could hardly understand her and she kept asking me "what's going on?" I asked her the same thing and stated that they had called me and I was responding...
She said she needed to pull up some information and I heard her typing...then she hung up.

I called them back and this time, a man answered the phone, "yes Maam?" in thick Indian accent and kept saying he wanted my home phone number. I refused to give it. I told him that he had called my office phone which is not the same as my home phone. He said without having my home phone number, he wouldn't speak to me, he would report me and then hung up on me.
Riiiiight, the US Treasury department ALWAYS has Indians answering the phone and then hanging up when they don't get the answer they like! lol

I received the same call from this number.  Called himself James Caston calling regarding an enforcement action executed by US treasury intending your serious attention.  He called Boston on April 1st at 2:43

Unfortunately the fact that these calls are coming from overseas makes that next to impossible unless the country of origin is willing to get involved and I wouldn't count on that happening.

I got a VM on Apr 1 as well from COCO BEACH FL.  Very similar to an attempted "IRS" scam from a month or so ago.  The IRS  NEVER leaves voice mails.

I also got a call from that number on April 1 -- very threatening, I wonder how many people are fooled by this nasty scam.

Scam....trying to extort money under the guise of the IRS.  Block these S.O.B.'s.

Callers are located in India and Pakistan.  As such they are beyond the reach of US law.  Local governments do nothing to close down illegitimate call centers.   Invest in a call blocker and do NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

This person posed as a federal employee and attempted to threaten legal action against me unless I called his number violating several federal laws.

BLOCKED by a California phone

Terrible recording of a scammer saying they are the IRS and if you hang up, they'll come after you. I know the IRS will never call, hope this guy is caught!!!!

He just called here in Dallas,TX. I didn't answer & let it go straight to voicemail then blocked him on my cell.
