- MCBReceived call from this number to my cell. Did not answer, left no msg. Called the number back from a landline. First msg said Version number has recently been changed or disconnected. Called again and got a busy signal. Third call got a loud boat horn noise. Whatever it is, it's not legit.
- maddreceiverThis is a call from a scammer, this is not the first time I have received this call. They try to get your number and call you to see if you respond and it can be used for various things like making calls to other countries. Be aware and use some type of call blocker on your phone, Kaspersky has a excellent blocker in there antivirus for your Android phone. It will block out the call that is not on your calling list, thank goodness I have it installed. Hope this helps someone else who doesn't know anything about blocking. They use this area code and the area code from Jamaica so just be on the lookout.
- Caller: scammer
- fehGot a call about 15 minutes ago but didn't answer. They hung up on 3 rings. I came here right away to report it.
- Bill BCalled my cell phone and picked up after two rings....no one was there. Obviously, a sham. I hope I didn't miss out on an all expense paid free trip St. Tropez!
- BedheadThis recording just informed me that I "won" a trip to magical Orlando! After a lengthy recording telling me how lucky I am and how much fun I will have, I was supposed to press a number to provide my credit card information to one of their helpful operators. If they need my credit card, this is not a case of WINNING, it's a case of SELLING. If you have a phone that blocks numbers, block this one! (They robo-call, so don't bother trying to figure out who sold your number. It's totally random, but once you're in the machine, you can't get out.)
- Caller: Magical Orlando
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnonymousTo answer some people's questions regarding why they get these calls in spite of being on the DNC list (I, too am on it), these scammers don't look at the DNC list. In fact, from what I've read, they have some sort of computer program that just sorts through millions of phone numbers using established area codes and pre-fixes (e.g., 770-670 is an established area code and pre-fix in the greater Atlanta area) and auto-dials every possible combination so when people answer they can sort the "live" or "active" numbers from the disconnected ones. Then they put the "active" numbers on a list and sell it to others, or use it to attempt the scam repeatedly from different numbers.
I just got a voicemail from the same number in this thread and it was a half-cut-off message about winning some prize and calling back with my ticket number. I have software on my phone that automatically bounces all incoming calls that are not in my phonebook to voicemail. That way I never have to speak with these idiots. I figure if it's an important call from someone who is not in my phonebook, whoever is calling will leave a voicemail that will make me want to return the call.- Call type: Telemarketer
- StopscamReceived call offering apparently bogus vacation to Orlando. Pressed "1" to be connected with scammer and informed him "you're going to jail for fraud" and then I hung up.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- vonLive in Virginia. Received a call from this number (more than once), but I did not answer. No message was left. Thanks for the info! These scammers are money hungry!

- jimijust got a call fr this #. no message, 3 rings, etc.
the old school attack vector (phone calls) seems to be growing in popularity? my cell # gets these calls alot and no matter what we targets say, write, or try to prevent - the parasites never will go away.

- Gompers replies to none| 1 reply" assuming iRide sold my number without permission."
That's not a valid assumption. I got called by this number and I haven't been to Florida in years. Once a number gets on the database that scammers sell to each other, there is no getting off. They have all kinds of ways to harvest phone numbers. I doubt that very many people can truly trace how their number got made public. - anne replies to GompersOddly enough, I made a reservation on American last week to FL. Think they could be passing along info?
