I got a similar call and did the same routine with them. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and they put me on with someone else. I asked for the number I could call back and he actually said "1-800-fxxxyou." and hung up.

I have gotten this call now sevral times both on my home phone and all 3 of our cell phones.  
I pressed 9 to talk to them and asked to talk to a supervisor.  He told me that was not an option.  
and that they were the ones calling me so they better make it an option.  
I am reallly considering getting one of those air horns and when the person comes on the phone
letting  them have it full blast.  Maybe then they will stop calling.

rep: visa, mastercard, american express, discover.
me: but which specific bank are you with?
rep: not one specific bank...we are with "Card Services".
me: ok
rep: how much debt do you have?
me: 20K plus
rep: and is the interest rate on your card greater than 10%?
me: yes
rep: We will work with your card companies to lower it. Can you provide the 800 number on the back of the card?
me: 800-*******
rep: Can you provide us last four of your social?
me: 6**6
rep: the zip code of your the card you want to have the rate lowered?
me: 8****
rep: Can you read me the entire account number on your card from left to right?
me: no
rep: in order for us to help you out, you need to provide us with the entire account number.
me: I'm not providing you with that information. If you work with MY bank, they already have enough information with the last four, my last name, and my zip code to find me.
rep: well, then I will have to enter your declination of this offer and we won't be able to help you out.
me: fine.

I don't want calls from this number!

I noticed a few people from AZ posted, and I wonder if this is a popular market to try and scam.

I don't answer numbers that I don't recognize, which is why I didn't answer when I got a call on my cell from this number.

I find it interesting that these calls are apparently coming from FL. This past fall someone was making multiple fraudulent charges at gas stations in Florida to my account. I wonder if there is any connection.

First time receiving call from this number, ignored the call, they disconnected before the Voice Mail option.   If a caller is not listed in my phone book I do not answer.  I'm on the Do Not Call List but doesn't seem to do any good.  These type of people know how to get around the loop-holes.

I get a call from them daily and usually just hang up when the recorded speech starts. This time I let it go to the end, but did not press 9, figuring it's just a phishing expedition. It eventually disconnected. Let's see if I get any more calls.

I just got a call from these guys. These guys are hilarious. They're not even good scammers.

I'd imagine so. AZ is a retirement state which means lots of elderly people to try to prey upon

We got a call from this number, but didn't get to the phone in time.  When I called it back I got a message, "The number you called is not a working number.  Please check the number and call again."  I see on Google where this is a scam to steal identities.  It'd be nice if they could be put under the jail on bread and water, but in our "enlightened society", the criminals have rights and, it would seem, the victims have none.

Just so ya know, your bank is not going to help you lower your interest rate. The only way I know of to lower your interest rates is to improve your credit score. And even then it would only be for new lines of credit.

They're not going to care about the do not call registry because they are operating illegally.

That's too funny. Little does "Tyler" know, he's the REAL idiot here. Do they teach you that in criminal piece of crap school, "Tyler"? Insult the person whose credit card info you're trying to steal? Don't worry, Lisa, before long "Tyler" will be getting shanked and/or violated in a prison yard and there will be one less person on the planet making it a lousier place to be.

Rick (Ricky) funny I got the same call I just wish that I was here to answer the phone but that was SMART AS 4377 OR 7734  (depends on how you look at it ) any way just by reading that here is my number cause you seem smart and sharp as a tack (sharper) and well conversed in the query of most scammers that are on line I am 46 y.o.a. and not to damn sharp (possiblely the dullest) get in touch with me would like to "talk" more on these f^(%<& up people <rlowe196440@yahoo.com> shoot me an e-mail and maybe get a # swap ..... and no i am not a [***] either i have had [***] to call also so forgive me
