no message. another robo call

Called about 12:04 PM EDT. Caller ID said CA. I am beginning to think that registering with the DNC List is simply a license to go ahead and make these calls....REPEATEDLY.

This is what showed on caller I.D. No message was left on machine.

This call has been coming to my house a few times in the month of August 2013. Today at 12:39 pm being the last one

Rene Ledesma from #323-281-1560 almost fooled me, I know a Rene so I almost picked up. No message.
Using a name probably will fool some of us. They will try anything! DNC, writing to Attorney General just
doesn't stop the telemarketers. I wish I could block more than 12 calls. Maybe I'll weaken and get a call blocker with unlimited blocking.

We got a call from this number at 2:08 pm today when we weren't home. The caller ID was "CA". Our voice mail had a recording offering a "free medical alert pendant". When I called the number back I got a recording stating: "Thank you for calling back. If you are not interested in receiving any future calls regarding our special promotions and would like to be placed on our do not call list please press one now." This would do nothing since our caller ID is blocked by default. We have been on the national do not call list since its inception. This is obviously telemarketing. Reporting such violations is useless, so I have given up doing so. Instead I rely on a call blocker.

There is an article in the current AARP Bulletin that warns of, and  explains the medic alert for seniors scam, that is well worth the reading.

WHY would you return a call to the medic alert for seniors scammers, when it has been reported on numerous posts they are simply criminals, trying to steal credit card numbers?

When I get a call from a debt collection agency (have no debt) and they ask for me by name I say "just a minute, let me get her"  -- then put the phone down and leave them hanging until they realize they've been given a dose of their own annoying medicine and they hang up.

I want to know who this person is that calls my by telephone from California

Caller ID said NBC COMM NET CO.Called early on a Saturday morning. Did not leave a message. Number now blocked.
