Caller identified himself as a federal agent from Los Angeles, Cal. Long story short, I had to wire $4000.00 in fines or a warrant for my arrest would be issued.  I had 15 minutes to decide. No proof of who he was and no prior contact of any kind. In his statement, this was all in conjunction with an investigation into a fraudulent company I had made a purchase from a few years back. Sounded solid at first but the more he talked the more things seemed fishy and the faster he wanted the money wired to him. And it was not an official organization or person with a title. Just some Joe Shmoe.

Thomas Fisher or Fischer...claimed to be from the DEA...watching my house...I'm a criminal...going to swoop in here with a swat team to take me away for an alleged purchase of rx's from a "foreign" pharmacy.  Really?  Could you send them to the door so I can talk to them?  

Well...lucky for me, they won't arrest me since I don't have a criminal record, if only I will....

I hung up.
