just got this number, didnt leave a msg.  dont know who or what is about.  its a CA exchange, i dont know anyone out there

**UPDATE**  it did leave a MSG, saying it was my old pal Lauren Mathews from the IRS.  Just as robotic as the one from (415) 691-6041 they must be doing a phone number overhaul over there.  LOL.

IRS scam call letting you know you must get legal consul as you are subject to arrest TODAY for non payment of taxes

Robo caller was "Lauren Matthews."  Get an attorney and call the number; IRS before being arrested.
This is a scam.

I have had legitimate IRS issues. The IRS does not call anyone. They do all their business through snail mail only. A call that says it is from the IRS is a scam.

Got a call from this number said I owed IRS money immediately. Wanted me to verify my mailing address and last 4 of social security number. Asked where they were from and that the IRS doesnt call for money. The caller said to expect the police with in 2 hours I told him to expect the FBI in 2 hours. He hung up

Same bLa bLa bLa robot computer sounding female voice using threatening words: officer-irs-retain attorney then something like "hv a nice day".  Got call right before ThanksGiving Day on recorder.  Figured they were capitalizing on the holiday crazy.

Family freaking out over this scam.

I received three messages from the same Lauren Matthews

"Officer Lauren Matthew from the IRS" called me on the East Coast at 9:30am from this Los Angeles number to tell me in her robotic voice to have my retained attorney call immediately blah, blah, blah... What IRS person is on duty at 6:30am (Pacific Time)??? Total SCAM!

Same msg as all others.  From Lauren Mathews at IRS.  It's a scam.

Ditto reference a call I received today from " Officer" Lauren Mathews with the IRS (IRS has special agents, not officers). These people aren't even clever.

Second call from "Officer Lauren Mathews" within the last month. What a scam. I did *69 the call came from within WA state 206-753-4422. They may be getting a call back from me at like 2 AM.
Sadly these people could call some elderly person and do some major damage.

CP - Florida - received threatening call which stated  IRS,  Is there no way to stop these people ?
