Asked for someone with same last name, maybe they're debt collectors?

Reminder folks:  Please only post when you have SOME kind of information.  That post does not.

..it is helpful to see how many people are getting calls.  Many spammers don't answer when you pick up the phone.

Clueless caller from California selling solar panels in the dead of winter in Eastern Montana.

Does not identify themselves, unable to reach upon return call to number.

A woman was extremely rude and would continue calling and harassing me.  This business needs to be stopped.  When I tried to call this number back no one would answer, the phone just rang.

Sarah Anderson called multiple times saying she wanted to give us a free estimate for construction. The first time she called, she was very rude and hung up when I called her bluff. She called back again today, trying to sell the same thing. Told her I wasn't interested and hung up. Spam.

Some raspy voiced man saying his last name was Wallace. Seconds after another scammer called and also said he was a contractor.

Alnost forgot...Blasted his eardrumd with my airhorn!!😃

No you blasted your eardrum with your air horn. It didn't do anything on the other end.

Started receiving multiple calls this week.  Glad to see you folks did the work to find out it was a telemarketer.

My mother has been constantly been harassed by this company. I picked up the phone and nicely told them to stop calling. The woman started calling and hanging up like a fu***n' child. Then after not answering her phone calls she started calling from a different number and insulted me. That happened a few months ago. Today she called but I told her I wasn't interested then five minutes later, a man called. I asked questions as if I was interested. Supposedly they are located in Hawthorne, CA near a Sears, the contracting business is called Builder Specialist. The name I got from these bozos is Sarah and Wallace. The other number they use to call me is 323-205-1913. Something needs to be done about this because it's harassment what they're doing.

They call  twice a day for months. When you pick up, no one says anything.When you call back, bo one answers.

Calls constantly on landline which we never pick up. They never leave message either. This has been going on for a looong time.

Guy named Ryan Bennett called me because I had told them previously to be removed from their list.  I repeated that the number is on the Federal Do Not Call Registry and they should stop calling me.  Then I hung up.  He called back and told me that the only way to be off their list is to let them come to my home for an appointment.  I asked for the name of the company, but he insisted he owned it and refused to give a name.  I repeatedly asked for the name of their company and the name of the company that would come give a quote.  He said the appointments would be with "independent contractors."

Received a call from Ryan Bennett again today.  He repeated that the only way I could get off his list is to have a consultation at my house.  (This time he said it was for solar.)  When I again told him that the call was illegal, he told me that he would call every day until I agreed to the consultation.

The number is now blocked and I will be making a second complaint to the FTC for violating the National Do Not Call Registry.

This is probably a legit company, but their tactics and desperate agents trying to schedule an appointment with us has completely turned us off and out of the idea of potentially using them for any household job. This is a team of  telephone agents/ appt. schedulers calling (getting paid per
appt. they book) and are looking to schedule an estimate for residential construction, interior or exterior. They are based in Encino or Tarzana I think I recall, though the telephone number is from 323 which is mid-town Los Angeles. "William" agent claims to be a part owner, "with his brother" but through the course of the conversation it seems he is merely a telephone agent who has been given that team building speech where they say "everyone in the company can take ownership" and therefore has a  (according to him) "small stake" in the business.  Anyway, after trying to pressure me for an appt. time for about 15 minutes and I said i would call back - i got his cell number so he would get credit for the appt. -- but then he called back before then --  on flippin' Father's Day - I was like- DUUUUUUDE. NO HE DID NOT.  And that was the end of it.  Called 3 times yesterday (my husband told him to bugger off) then he called this morning and I said " look man, you blew it, pal. never should have called back. on Father's day? really? How dare you? Remove from list."  He hung up on me, so we'll see how long it takes before another agent calls again. Grrr... If only these businesses would train their people correctly. I used to be in this business (well, similar) - and there's a proper way to do it and to cut your loss when you go through data- but most people are just greedy and slimey. which is why there are so many desperate agents and pissed off telephone call recipients.

The caller asks for the person who lives at that residence. It happened to me and a couple of days later a person who was trying to get my private number called me and said that it got it through the internet.  I think that this telemarketers look for private phone numbers and once they confirm that the phone and name match he hangs up.
