Yet another fake caller 5123717143 about 5 minutes earlier

Who keeps calling from LA

This is a scam.. Be very careful,  they claim to be from PG&E and try to get your account number,  this is a FRAUD.  Do not give out your account number..

They called me again,  I told them I reported them once already and if they continued to call I would report them to the FBI.  The guy tried to argue with me,  I repeated what I said.  Beware.

Yes, the previous commenters are correct. This is a criminal organization of confidence tricksters engaged in a fraudulent scheme to
steal enough personal information from innocent people and target them for future contact for detrimental nefarious activities, including identity theft, which can then be used to create online credit card contracts. The first callers are the 'assessors', who evaluate a persons vulnerability and susceptibility to being easily duped and lulled into a false sense of security. The second stage is to establish a quasi-relationship with the victim, thereby setting the stage for gleaning more secure information related to personal assets.

Make no mistake, these people are not your friends. They are heartless criminals who prey upon the vulnerable and uninformed.
Their aim is to enrich themselves with just a small investment of time and effort. Do not rely upon the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, which is a complete waste of your time. There has never been a prosecution brought about due to a DNC Registry reporting.

In future I will regard all of these annoying callers as criminals.
I have always been dubious about the registry and now I agree it
is worthless. The government is complicit in these scams.

Intelligent people will recognize the DNC list IS enforced, when the FTC has sufficient evidence.
