For the contractors using Home Design Center you can file a complaint with the California Contractors State License Board http://www.cslb.ca.gov/Consumers/FilingAComplaint/FileAComplaint.asp
Maybe with enough complaints they'll stop buying leads.

They just called me right now and couldn't even pronounce my last name right.  Could hear all the other people talking in the background.  When I said I was on the no call list, she hung up.  This is probably the 10th call in the last two years.  My caller ID isn't working too well, so I can't verify their number.

This really angers me..they're claiming to be Home Interior Designers or hopefully I read that incorrectly. I'm an Interior Designer and there's no way one would call you at home unless you personally hired one to remodel, design various rooms in your house, etc., you understand what I'm saying so of course, they're not legitimate .. it unfortunately makes people like myself look bad because I'm a professional designer. I work with business cards and word of mouth so I do well. This is sickening!! Please hang up on losers like this. A legitimate designer would have answers to any questions concerning design. We should.. we have to take 180 hours, that's right, not your regular 120 hours, 180 hours of design classes that include Autocad software.. That's computer aided drafting used mainly by architects.. so you see it's not an overnight process. It's a great rewarding career, but you'll know someone isn't the real deal if they can't answer questions concerning design.

I just filed an official complaint on the DO NOT CALL registry site, as these people (Home Design Center  from number 323-450-1133-which is not a working number) have been calling me for years and hang up when you request to be taken off their list. I called the company directly first (I told them I received a call from Home Design Center and they didn't deny it was them) and they requested my name and info to be taken off the list. I'm sorry but I'm not going to provide them with additional information about who I am. I encourage everyone to file a formal complaint online, it takes two seconds, and hopefully this business will be fined and quit calling all of us once and for all. There are also numerous complaints on the BBB site re: same issue.

They called yet again today, also recently received call from Triangle Construction, 714-798-5392. The clowns buy lists of homewoners from Hanes Criss-Cross, perhaps out of Ohio. Unique Home Design often buys their leads, the Unique guy was really p.o'd when he came for the free estimate and was asked to mail a written DNC policy istead of writing up a bogus estimate.

  A lawsuit is pending. But to be successful, you need good records about when the calls came in, who they say they are, name of caller, accent if you know, what # appears on Caller ID, etc. e-mail to iairdrop -at- cox.net. Take digital photographs of the Caller ID screen, especailly if you phone carrier doesn't itemize all inbound and outbound calls.

Caller ID showed 310-674-3373 - Inglewood, CA" and boy was "Randy Mason" eager to come over and write up an estimate - if he shows, first Q = When will you mail me your written DNC policy? He gave 800-456-2500 as their toll-free contact number.

I received a call from "Home Design Center" on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.  I did not answer but called the number back.  I received only static.  I searched the web and found that other persons had also been contacted by this caller.  It is a scam.

Great attitude!  These sleezebags have called me about 10 times over the last year.  I NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TELEMARKETERS.  It's real easy, just say no no no and hang up.  You don't have to nice to people or entities that BREAK THE LAW.  Too bad the FTC only has civil penalties are all these DO NOT CALL violaters.  There should be JAIL TIME in PINK UNDERWEAR on a CHAIN GANG under a certain sheriff in Phoenix Arizona while they get to eat BOLONEY SANDWICHES.

I am getting calls several times a week.  They don't care if you on "the don't call list" as they just use another number.  I will be contacting the FCC to alert them to these telemarketers.  I will sue as well if someone gets the information.

I get the same calls from the Design Home Center.  My number is unlisted, on the DO NOT CALL list and it is a business line.  I finally realize I cannot stop the calls, so I seek revenge.  I tell them yes, I need painting, or solar or whatever else they are pushing at the time.  I make appointments, and they send someone out.
When I answer the door,  I politely explain I have no idea what they are talking about.  I did not make any appointment, I'm sorry but not interested.  This won't stop the calls, but maybe if I do it enough times they will get the message.

Calls me twice a week and on Sunday. One of their telemarketers actually gave me her live cell number. Talk to Rachel at 213-949-9096
