Lady's voice asking for RICHARD. When I said "You've got the wrong number....", she immediately came back with "Maybe you can help me..."  I asked her, "How can I help you when you have the WRONG person?" Then the RECORDED voice just kept repeating about asking for a donation.

No message, but obvious scam operation!

Telemarketer soliciting cancer donations.  Stay away.

I block the number!

It was a recording asking if i was the head of the household. They asked twice and then hung up.

Dirty scoundrels keep calling. I get several calls just a few minutes apart but with different numbers on caller ID. I know they are the same people as the calls are clustered together. They call cell phone, then minutes later, the house phone rings. Then several minutes later, same number or different numbers. Sometimes, it comes in as "Anonymous" on the caller ID. Keeps on ringing.

Veterans group - Amvets. Uses a pretty good artificial intelligence program.

Ran them through CharityNavigator(dot) org which gave them a high rating so they aren't scammers, at least.

IF you are dealing with the real McCoy. Personally I would not give to anyone who calls me. If I chose to give, I initiate the action.

Asked for head of household.  I said he was on another call.  He said he'd try again later.  Caller had a southern accent.

I got a call from this number 323-454-2993, I picked it up and said hello but they kept silent. Creepy caller.

Friday 14 April 2017 -- 11:30 am -- Called my cell phone.  Caller ID said "Los Angeles CA".  No message was left.

Normal sounding woman's voice saying " Is Shelly there?" I said "wrong number" new voice comes on the phone (obviously pre recorded) "OH! Well maybe you can help me! I'm *name* from "such-and-such" breast cancer center.."

I hung up.

Rang once.  The End.

. I said hello, no one answered

Called and did not leave a message, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying!

Phone showed "Potential Fraud".  No doubt it is. Blocked.
