    Scammers please stop calling
Received message on answering machine on 11/24/15 around 1:45pm from a robot claiming to be Judy Smith from the IRS. Basically saying that a legal petition for a tax filed against me and that if I don't call back I could be arrested.  Saw people complaining about a similar number but I guess the scammers have several. This is the third or fourth time I've gotten this scam over the course of months, each time they call with a new number. Will someone please make it stop? It's very predatory and around the holiday season, makes it even worse.

I got the same type of call and was left on my answering machine on 11-24-15. And decided to look on line if anyone had the same thing and my co-worker had the same thing happen to her like 6 or 8 months ago. The number I got was 323-522-4789 and claiming that they were from the U.S. treasury dept. for Judy Smith. I hope they get caught. Thanks for your help

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Received call from person with heavy Indian accent saying he was calling from IRS and there was a problem with my 2011 tax return, and that I owed 5900 dollars.  I could go to Federal Court or the sheriff would come and put me in jail for 18 months.  I asked for paperwork and was told it was too late for them to send it since I did not answer items that were sent registered mail.  I never received anything in the  mail.  He kept threatening me with jail and asked what I would do about it.  I told him I would call my attorney, and he said be sure and show up in court and good luck.

Yes yes on Dec. 2, 2015 rec;d call from 323-522-4789 at my home phone from "Judy Smith" IDing herself as US Treasury agent claiming I needed to respond urgently to negative case investigated by Treasury and would face possible arrest if this was ignored. Next day I called number asked for Ms. Smith--but a person IDing themself as Allen Green, Investigator, Dept. of Treasury started asking me for personal information about me.  I told these folks I believed they were fakes and to quit calling me in the future.  He said a police officer would be on the way to arrest me.  I responded, "I've been waiting for that cop for six months now." It was not a pleasant conversation.  This is about  the 3rd time I've been harassed like this with other callers they are claiming to be from the IRS or US Federal Claims Court attempting to executing a warrant. They don't give up even when you advise them they've been reported previously to Treasury or the IRS.  What is going on with this?  Signed: Honest Citizen
