a woman left a message saying there was legal action against my name.

I recieved a bogus call from this number

Found a voicemail on my answering service for my wife from a lady who's name I couldn't decipher - very heavy accent.  She claimed it was a legal matter and wanted my wife to call her back, otherwise her case would be turned over to the Dept. of Legal Affairs.  It was DEFINITELY a scam!!!!

Recd the call and called the number foreign guy said David Miller cussed him out and hung up on me

Came home to a lengthy almost unintelligible message from this number, also foreign accent, claiming same thing.
"Dept of Legal Affairs of the Treasury" and that my son had legal action against him. My son hasn't used our number in years for contact. My sister had received  a similar call a few weeks ago and we found it to be a scam. I called back to see what would happen. Foreign voice picks up and quickly says "Dept of blah blah blah", so I said, excuse me, Dept of What? He repeats. I said, someone called here earlier and I don't know who you want but this is the wrong number. He says (They obviously have called ID) Oh, this isn't (my son's name)? I said no, I don't know what you are trying to pull but take this number off your list. His answer was "F*** You". Yep, that must be the Treasury alright.

Got a call from Lisa Davis (Indian accent) who identified herself as the US Treasury Dept.  She informed me that there was a legal action being started in my name.  I said "I will need that in writing." She informed me that the notification had been mailed, but I could call (323)570-4743 and speak with Officer Danny Morrison. I called the first time and asked for Danny Morrison, a man(with an Indian accent) answered the phone sayin Treasury Department. I again asked for Morrison and he hung up on me.  Each time I call again, they are hanging up on me.

Two calls in two days from the same foreign tongue trying to scare me with a legal affairs Treasury Dept scam - this is so shameful-------hang up on the [***]!!

All same as above.  2 days in a row received messages from this phone number stating that legal action was being taken. Sign.  I wasn't born yesterday...unfortunately they keep calling back.

Just received a call from 323-570-4743. A guy by the name of  Jeff Thomas supposedly from the dept of legal affairs, stating he was looking for me.  I asked for a number to call back.  Not calling back.  It's a scam.   He had a very heavy accent.

Man called and wanted our lawyers name and claimed my wife was in trouble with treasurey dept. I could not understand his name because he was a foreigner. I told him he had the wrong # he starts yelling and making bold statements about having my wife arrested. I told him if I could reach through the phone I would remove his head. He said he was sending the police in 40 minutes. I am still waiting for them to show up, haha. I waited 2 hours and started calling him back and ask where the police where. Nothing but silence. Total scam ignore him.

Yeah, "David Miller" just called here.  With an Indian accent.  HAHAHAHA!!!!  Yeah.

"Lisa Davis" with heavy accent called and left a message for my husband that legal action was going be taken against him and that he should retain a lawyer.

Received the same call....from "Gavin Green" "dept of legal affairs"...sounded fishy.

Received a call from a David Miller with call back number 323-570-4743 saying it was the Department of Legal Affairs.  Called back and the man said he was Officer Keith Martin Badge No. 835110 and it was regarding a legal matter with the department of treasury. I told him it was a scam and he said we will come arrest you so I said come arrest me the IRS contacts you by phone. Then he hung up on me.

"John Davenport" with a distictly foreign accent left a VM at my mother's house. I haven't lived there in 15 years. Very aggressive sounding and saying to call my lawyer. I will call tomorrow and tell him to eat $#!T

Same as other callers... Aggressive VM left on machine.  I could tell right away it wasn't legit.  "Kelvin Green" with a heavy accent, sounding like a call center, stating he was from the "Department of Legal Affairs" and that we had legal action filed against us and need to get our lawyer to contact them right away.  I suspected some kind of scam or collection agency tactic, but my wife thought it was real.  I called back a few days later and this number came back as disconnected.  I searched the number on line and came up with this page which confirmed what I thought.  Hopefully, this is the end of this scam.  Too bad that there are suckers out there who fall for this and send money.
