    Hey Ken,
Among all the other blogs and posts on any questionable company (some of which are bogus too) I always fall back on the Better Business Bureau to help my final decision. They helped immensely while I was trying to find a fairly honest web host. Here's their URL: http://www.la.bbb.org/Consumers.aspx

Are you saying the company is legit or are you calling the people who join suckers?

Thanks for letting me know. I did participate in exploretalent. I even got comp cards made by them, but nothing ever came of it. There is a place in Chicago, but I didn't know they do that with stealing information. My boyfriend told me he saw something recently about people stealing info to kill them and take their money.

I did it for a month just to see and this is how it is. Explore Talent can be legit... but like every company, they are out to make a profit. They DO prey on peoples hopes saying they will get auditions, however, this is very slim and the chances you will actually land a paying job are slim. That is where they get ya. The whole month I did it I did get one audition, but that was one. I did land it and it was a small paying gig for a hairshow in Chicago. But it was only one out of all the days. However it does help if you already have professional photos to post and if you have a good resume it can really help but it's still slim chances. I'd say to try to find a better one. But they aren't technically doing anything illegal because thy post disclaimers, so you can't actually report them or get them into any trouble. They can get away with it, because the law allows them to. Be smart and educate yourself. And if worse comes to worse if they keep texting/calling get ahold of them and tell them you will report them to the better business bureau if they don't stop and after you have made connections and did what you can and they don't stop you can report them and maybe even sue them if you can prove how much money you had to pay through their calls/texts. So just read the fine print

EXPLORE TALENT IS A HUGE SCAM -- apparently the person who is behind this is a former criminal and he is in it together with his wife scamming innocent people who try to make their dream come true.

I've wanted to get into this line of work for a very long time,  do not really know what strings to pull,  at present I am unemployed and so as you well guessed my funds are extremely limited.  What can you tell me that would help me get a line, on who to contact or how to do it!

ExploreTalent is not a scam but like many agencies they are trying to make a buck and have lots of postings.  You just have to weed them out and find what works for you.  I've used them and got some work through them.  I did a quick scene in OLD DOGS.  Granted it was only background but I did get a payday and saw myself 3 times in the Grand Central scene.  I also got a whole summer job doing a re-enactment show called WATCHING THE DETECTIVES which aired on the Bio channel and continues to run on C&I and A&E channel.

I received a text message from 1(410) 000-003 -- not sure why not a complete # in my text message files, but this is as it read. The message told me to call the above referenced # for details on film work paying $600.  I have asked this organization in the past to remove me from their call list & email distribution... I am sick & tired of their unsolisited messaging!
