Unknown fax to my efax system from this number

efax said two page fax from this number, but nothing was attached to the email from e-fax.  Is it dangerous?

I got an email saying I got a 2page fax through efax from this number too; there was no attachment in the email.  I googled the number and found this in 800Notes.

I also rec'd notification of a fax from this number, but with no attachment.  
Appears this number (323-843-9550) may be a fax spammer that is getting partially through e-fax's system (ie, you get the notification, but efax have already nuked the attachment, so nothing's actually sent along with it.)

Googling on the number brings up discussions as old as 2003 from people getting phantom faxes from this number.

It was a junk fax from J2 describing how to create cover pages for faxes sent by j2 messenger, at least that is what I got. And they had to send it in .jfx format, my default is .pdf and so I had to install J2 Messenger on the computer I was using just to see this junk fax.

I got faxed a 2nd time and googled the number again, and this info came up:
who knows if it is a fake website, or a real entity???

***Is eFax selling out our fax numbers?  I haven't given my fax number to anyone else, and only have the fax number in case.  I'm thinking of changing services.

Received 3 pages from this telephone number 323-843-9550 but couldn't open the 72k - 3 page attachment. Adobe Reader said that it couldn't read as it wasn't decoded correctly.

Got second bogus "efax" message today.  The first was a week ago today.  First had no attachment, second did, but was delivered to my bulk folder as I had spammed the sender.  We use efax, and the legitimate notifications look nothing like these two emails.

I received a 3 page attachment with this fax number.

Just received the same early this morning (NONE of my clients are up that early!) -- a 2 page fax from the number mentioned in this post.  Googled it and that's how I found you all!  Glad I found this post; now I won't bang my head against the wall trying to open it.

Received two faxes from this number to my efax account number, could not open either.  Glad to have found this website so I can check out unknown numbers before wasting more time on them.
