Someone left me a message, calling about a mortgage that could lower my monthly payment.  She never mentioned what company she was calling from, but left a case number, instead.  I never inquired about a mortgage nor initiated one.  The call is a potential scam!

Had the same experience as Miscy. Left a case number but not a company name.

Same here, left a case number and asked me to call 323-948-8633

11May2021 I got same message as Missy to call back 323 948 8623 to pay lower rate on my mortgage  No Other info about company or property etc   did leave a file number to refer to

Received multiple calls same message from Missy to call back 323 948 8623 new lower rate came in on loan, to pay the lower rate on my mortgage refer to Record ID when calling back.

Amanda thompson called and left a message regarding my loan and that i can reduce my rate, fyi no company name was mentioned. I called by and number had a busy dial tone.

Left BS number to call and "reference an item number xxxxxx" for a loan reduciton. They just wanna know whether I am stupid enough to call back and give personal info to the bozos, as the "try to get me a better loan payment"

Also received a spam call from them. Never had a mortgage in my life!

My second call from these mortgage loan scammers in the last few months. The number they call from is always spoofed (this time it was 323-366-7409).

The message is from a recorded voice ("Amanda") who talks as if she knows you and is just giving you a friendly call about lower interest rates available now, and she's just calling to let you know.  (Yeah, right).

She provides this number for the call-back phone number, which is different from the one on the caller ID (323-948-8633), along with a "reference number" (0163318).

I've gotten the same recorded call from these scammers using a different number, but everything else is the same.

I reported the supplied call-back number to the FCC & Do Not Call Registry, and not the one from the caller ID since that one is clearly spoofed.

Another fake mortgag scam voicemail. reported to dontocall.gov

Today I received a call from the same caller, about reducing my mortgage payment. She left the same message. Including, the same Record ID number (0163318). She did not say the name of the company or ask for me by name.
The caller ID said 323-948-2877. The message said to call 323-948-8633.
This is a SPAM call. Do NOT call back.

Yes, that is what I thought. No bank tells you to call back with an ID number. BIG TIME SCAM.

I received this call as well, and it was from  Amanda Thompson. SCAM!!!  People beware.

Same here "Amanda Thompson"! Even the same record ID 0163318 hahaha. What a joke.

I was curious whether others received the same "case number."  Maybe we all are  #0163318 :-D.  At least the scammers had to expend the effort to record different messages because my caller was ANITA Thompson.

Second time this Amanda called. She wanted name and address, gave her fake name and bogus address. She "Oh yes, we have you on file for your inquiry for mortgage loan. I gave her John Smith and kept on asking for Social security number, address and bank account numbers to confirm it was me.  Total scam!

Received same voicemail as described above.  Caller/recording stated name as "Amanda Thompson" (no company stated) with callback no. of (323) 948-8633 and ref. no. "0163318" re: rate reduction.  Voice sounded oddly familiar, but didn't call back bc we did not recently initiate a rate reduction. Thanks for the helpful tips, everyone.

Got this scam message

”Yes, this is Anna. Thompson I was just trying to reach out to you regarding your loan for the mortgage and wanted to let you know that with the recent rate reductions you're now able to lower your monthly payment. If you could please return my call at 323-948-8633 and then you're going to need this record ID number to refer to when you call back and that is 011-3318. Thank you.”

I had the same experience as Miscy and Mike. It's not the first time I've received this unsolicited, unwanted, questionable sales pitch.
