Received a voice message from this number.  Unable to clearly hear the name of the caller.  Called them back and was told they were looking for a person who I do not know, never heard of and have no information concerning the person.  Supposedly, they had "time sensitive" info. for this person.  Would not say how they got my name or number and denied they were a credit collection agency.  I demanded my name and number be removed from their records, but was told they would only indicate the nature of my call back and would not guarantee removal and then hung up on me.

I also received a call from this number and the person would not give me any info but that they were looking for someone and that I could tell that person he was with ACT. I don't speak with the person who they were looking for.

This number called my in-laws looking for my wife and I.  Wouldn't tell my in-laws what it was for, just that it was a Joseph from Texas.  When doing a search for this number, nothing shows up in yellowpages or whitepages.  Only thing was this site with other complaints.  Not sure what this is all about, but I feel it needs to stop.

got a call from this number 325-224-3946 at about 9 he was asking for someone I dont know and even went on to ask the city,,,,it sounded suspicious and like he was fishing for information..wierd

I just got a call from this number, too...They called both my home and cell numbers but, they only left a name and number on my voicemail...When I called back, it was a different name than the one who called before and they wouldn't say what they were calling about.

Student loan  collector w/ACT (Account Control Technologies)  name given, Joseph Zuniga.   If you have a facebook acct, deactivate cuz he will call your contacts W/ numbers listed on fb and phish for info on you. He obtains information by false pretenses. He pretends to be a friend.  He may work out of his home which can be in San Angelo, Tx. Calls your neighbors too.  I am phishing for info on him.  When i 'become employed, i will pay.  For now, i will feed my kids, provide shelter, and clothe them.

He calls your friends on facebook.

I can confirm the identity he uses is correct. He is in the city of Knoxville, Tennesee. I think. He does work from home. I have called back at different times of day. Sometimes a woman answers simply" Hello" not ACT. Sometimes a child answers. If he is calling friends on facebook shame on him. I will post more info on him and we can do the same too him. A taste of his own medicine.

You are correct, It is from Account Control Technology and he is Joseph Zuniga but the location is San Angelo, Tx. They will call until someone answers but if you are not the person they are looking for then tell them not to call you anymore and they will have to stop.

This number called my phone and didn't leave a message. Looked up the number and this site came up, should have know it was a collection agency. I have received so many phone calls from the area code (325) that it is ridiculous. The odd thing is that there is a different collection agency trying to collect on the same debt. I find that very odd. Some of the numbers that have called me are. (325) 942-7892, (325) 224-3979, (325) 942-7914, (325) 224-3922, (325) 224-3983, (325) 942-7870, (325) 224-3977, (325) 942-7818, (325) 224-3975, (325) 942-7921, (325) 942-7904, (325) 942-7875, (325) 942-7819, and there are so many more, a total of 18 different numbers have called me.

Received a call on my landline from this number.  I answered and they actually asked for "Joe Smith".  I said there was no one here by that name and I don't know anyone with that name.  He said he was with ACT to collect student loan debt.  I told him again that I have no clue who Joe is and he then asked my name, "so he could update the file."  I then asked him his name (I obviously gave him a made up name) and he hung-up without saying another word.  For what it is worth, I don't have a single dollar of debt, not even a mortgage or credit cards, so I know this is fake and was phishing for info.  

Number 325-224-3946 called my work telephone number for three past weeks repeatedly, when answered, each time it hung up and never received any information.
We even called back and dialed (9) to remove it from the calling- per the DO NOT CALL Registry rules...
The one afternoon last week someone answered and asked for personal verification of DOB and SSN. Told them that don't give that information over the telephone and that they needed to mail out something to me if they felt it was "critical time sensitive information to discuss" , asked them who they were, were they a collections agency? they wouldn't confirm.
Claimed they mailed out letter already. I said I had never received and who were they? What was this about...? They hung up.
Later week call by Jospeh who said was "Account Control Technologies" and again attempted to verify DOB and SSN for critical information. I told him that do not give that info out over the telephone. Asked again who they were and what type of business this was?
Verified phone number was located In TX.
Call this morning and Joseph again.
Third time asking to verify DOB and SSN. Once more asked who he was affiliated with and said "would only state it as Account Control Technology"
Looked up website and this is a Debt Collector.... THESE PEOPLE ARE NOTE FOLLOWING THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS PRACTICE ACT... this is fraud. You should call them on Title 15 Commerce and Trade 1692D Harassment or abuse (6) Except as provided in section 1692b of this title, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the Caller's Identity.  (B section)- states Any Debt collector communicating with any person other than the consumer for the purpose of acquiring location information about the consumer shall- (1) identify himself, state that he is confirming or correcting location information concerning the consumer, and, only if expressly requested, identify his employer. (3) not communicate with any such person more then once unless requesting to do so by such person or unless the debt collector reasonably believes that the earlier response of such person is erroneous or incomplete and that such person now has correct or complete location information.
Despite my own statement that I do not conduct business over the telephone, do not give out such personal information over the telephone, and said, to go ahead and send something by mail; as to date I have received no letters by which Joseph claims was mailed out, apparently to me back in January. I confirmed mailing address.
I was hung up on in the middle of conversation.
Returned the call, informed that I just spoke with someone, confirmed Joseph was whom I was talking with, and asked he never again call this business place work number and to take it off the list.
If I ever get something in writing then I can reply.
