- TylerCalls all the time for wrong person regarding student loans debt collection
- Call type: Debt collector
- AnonymousI got a call from them. After asking me to verify myself at least 3 times, they said they were calling for me on behalf of their client.
They asked me for the last 4 digits of my social security number, then, I guess I had 'the nerve' to ask who their client was, the lady on the phone was like "I don't think you are who you say you are", and hung up.
Who would fall for this?- Caller: They didn't say
- KellyThis number has been calling me every other day or so for a few weeks now.
- anonymousCalled and asked my name but didnt say what it was so I hung up.
- AmyThey called my phone and left a message that wanted me to verify who I was, I hung up and called back but it went strait to voicemail I think it said Perfana Technologies, so I looked it up and couldnt find anything online...so probly some kinda identity theft crap
- Caller: Perfana Technologies
- JJSeems to be a student loan debt collector. Asked for me to verify my person in voicemail. I called number back and lady said "Hi, Perfana Technologies......"
I hung up. No info on said company.
Seems sketch
This is not right.
I only 2 years out if college and have been paying my loans. I missed my loan payments 3 times in 2 years but still paid the thing eventually.
I never thought the hardest thing about going to college would be paying for it. This country has it's priorities in the wrong place.- Caller: Perfana Technologies
- Call type: Debt collector
- Chris schwabI am not sure why I am receiving this call. I sure am not about to give out my private information to someone who will not identify themselves. I have read that they are debt collectors for student loans. My student loan is current so I not sure why they would call me.
- Caller: No message
- SuspiciousCall from this company, I was asked for by my name. I had just had several accounts scammed and info stolen in the past month. Do not know who or what this company is. Mushmouth voice on recording when I called back sounded like it said poor santa to his knees.
- sadrivoice asks to "press 1 if you are .....
- John q public| 1 replyThis phone number is for Performant Technologies, based in California, branches in numerous other states. It is a collection agency, no matter how fancy the page format. They specialize in collecting on student loans and other "public" interests such as state taxes owed, et al. If you haven't gotten any notices from the 'client' they represent, tell them to send everything via mail.

- EmmaIt's something like performance technologies but they're from great lakes so student loans, they call you even if you are not delinquent but if you have a payment coming up or something. If you get a call from them don't bother calling these ghetto people back just call great lakes directly although they're not that much better hahahaha
- Caller: great lakes
- NatalieThey claim to have important information on my student loans, but considering I talked to Great Lakes two weeks before these phone calls started and I have a forbearance for the next few months, and these people called and hung up on me, I don't think they're legitimate. And if they are, they need better employees because I called them back three times and was hung up on twice before getting through to someone. And when someone finally answered, he wanted the last four of my social security number and my address, then got angry when I told him I wasn't giving him that information. The real knee slapper is that they called me again while I was still on the phone. An operator answered when I called back and sent me to "Pam" because my last name didn't match anything in the system (though she cut me off mid-sentence to transfer me). "Pam" didn't answer.
The first call was from (325) 224-6987, San Angelo, TX and the second from (209) 858-3500 CA. - Denise ReavesCalls constantly

- JAI got a call from 325-224-6987. I do have 2 accounts with Great Lakes Higher Ed, and both are in forebarence, about to expire. They were calling to let me know it was expiring soon. They claimed they were calling on behalf of Great Lakes, and this company was PTI. (I forget what it stood for).
I do believe this is legit, to be honest. But I wish they wouldn't ask for last 4 of SSN to confirm before they tell me what they want. I am comfortable giving my address, but not SSN.- Caller: PTI
- Call type: Debt collector
- jojoI just received the call answered it and was on hold for nearly 10 minutes. I too have a student loan with Great Lakes and on hold because I am not finished school yet. I waited 10 minutes because I saw these comments saying who it was but I won't be on hold that long after receiving a robocall
- FlybyThis company is definitely a scam. I called them back (several times before they answered) and the guy couldn't give me a shred of proof that he wasn't trying to scam me out of my personal info. In fact, he got quite angry with me. I reported it to the FTC. This is the definition of a Robocall, and a scam.

- Trishasked me to confirm who I was even though I have no idea who they are...I just hung up
- Caller: I don't know who
- Great Lakes CustomerThis number called me claiming to be contracted by Great Lakes Loan Servicing. I declined to give them my personal information and said I would contact Great Lakes directly to resolve any matters with them. Great Lakes informed me that they do not contract with any outside agency for customer service and that this call was apparently a scam. DO NOT GIVE your information to anyone calling from this number or Performant Technologies.
