Received a text in the middle of the night regarding a piece of art I had listed on Craigslist.  He had a couple of questions I answered.    He said he would pay for the item through PayPal by mid afternoon today.    2 hours before the deadline, I received 2 confirmation emails from “PayPal”...Right.    They said they were holding $1,425 of the Buyer’s funds until the transaction is completed.   The story was I would only receive my $725 once I go to a Bitcoin ATM and send PayPal $600 in “transport fees”.    There was a $100 handling charge.

I will be filing complaints with PayPal, local Police Department and FBI

Same scenerio as above. Texted stating he would pay pal the money for a $600 guitar he's never seen..... I got suspicious and after a Google search found the above post. Another scam

Got text from same number along about keyboard I have for sale. I replied but haven't heard from this number, but,  another number offered me a cashier's check without seeing the keyboard. Said to cash it then he would pick up keyboard. NOT! I was suckered once with a cashier's check in 1995. Never again!

I received message from this number today asking questions already answered in a Craiglist ad item for sale on 3/12. Definitely blocking them thanks to above posters. It is an out of area number for my location.

I just posted an antique vanity less than an hour ago.  This person has contacted me by text and sight unseen stated he would need to use PayPal and add the shipper fees as he doesn’t give cash to his shipper, and his profession doesn’t allow him to view it.
I told him I wasn’t familiar with large items being shipped, but am familiar with scams through People paying through different ways or PayPal as I deal with a lot of PayPal payments...so if he were considering a scam, to be aware I was sceptical.  Immediately found this post and told him I noticed he was written up online and to get lost.  Thanks all for your posts!

Yeah, this guy is a total scammer. He offered the same PayPal proceedure for some wheels I had posted on Craigslist. The caller is 330-277-5506

I also just received a text about something posted on Craigslist by this same number. I won't be responding now, thank you.
