Called at 804am.  No message.

Called at 8:00am; did not answer and no voicemail left; called back number on another phone and it said this number no longer in service. I wouldn't recommend answering

Would guess it is Comenity Bank (Children’s Place) based on others’ comments.

What "other's comments" led you to thst guess?

It is the collections department of Synchrony Bank. I don't even have an account with them... LOL!

calling from Synchrony Bank. They needed to confirm that a large transaction that had been made in my name was one I had actually authorized.

I had called Synchrony Bank.  Because they had a "high call volume" they said I could have them call me back.  So I did.  This is the number that called me back.  Because they said they were the callback, I gave them all my sensitive information!!!  Big mistake!!!  Somehow they have hacked Synchrony!!!

Call from this number about My social Security that it be blocked permanently

I received a call from 330-433-4448 at 8:00 this morning. A lightly middle eastern voice left a voicemail and marked it "urgent".

They went on to say they were from Synchrony Bank calling to "verify some informations". They asked me to call 866-376-0276 and select option 2.

I went to the Synchrony app and used the Contact Us link to call and check the authenticity of the voicemail.

The guy I spoke with at the actual Synchrony Bank customer service line said there are no flags or contact messages on my account. He said that no one was trying to call me, there was nothing to verify, and it was most definitely a scam.
