We got one today...Fire Fighters...asking for donations, but not over the phone...they will send a request in the mail. Not sure what this is all about. We don't usually give to phone solicitors; too many scams these days.

Said his name was Alex from Gastonia. Didnt identify who he was with. Hung up in my ear.

They call our house two or three times a day, every single day of the week, different times of the day. My husband answered and all you could hear was shuffling in the background but noone would respond.

Called me on my home number just a minute ago.  

I was already on a call so when I finished I called this number back and it came up as a disconnected no-longer in service number.

Probably a scammer.  Why else would they use a FAKE number on the caller ID??

I found some information on this number and think that it is more accurate information. I found the Latitude/Longitude for this number and searched by that to get the approximate address. It came back as

Some guy called, screamed in my ear - "Hey why don't you give me some of those cards" and then hung up.  Strange.

This company has called today at 2;30 pm. And has called last year about the same time. We do NOT like soliciting phone calls.

i gave my number to a realtor yesterday. Not sure if that's where my member got passed through.

Calls an hangs up numerous times, never leaves a message

He said he was "mad as he'll that I texted him at 12:30 last night." knew our last name even tho the number is unlisted. I didn't text anyone, esp. from a land line! Sounded like a bunch if guys partying in the back ground.

Since its on marshall street coming from a parking deck does that mean that it is a phone booth?? trying to find someone and we think that was them calling

Called about 15 minutes ago.  Did nit recognize number / went to voice-mail.  They hung up without leaving a msg.

This is the number for Winston-Salem Firefighters. They are paid phone pimps. They call constantly. Best not to answer, but if you do, have a whistle handy and blow into phone. Typically real local firefighters will agree to have these solicitors gets some money for them, they get 10% and the pimps get the rest. But hey, it's better than nothing right? The real firefighters in Winston-Salem should be ashamed of themselves.

Called around 30 minutes ago.When my answering machine comes its hard to hear but... I can screen a call. A voice of of someone.This person grunting like they are mad also can hear other things. So be careful what you say before the beep.  No message left. I hate spam!

I get calls all the time from this number but I never pick up and they never leave a message. I tried calling it back and I got the recording, you have reached a number that is no longer in service.

According to the W-S Fire Dept. this is NOT being done with their permission as they had NO IDEA who this was or what they were supposedly calling for.

If you can get these baboons REAL name, number, mailing address any working info - they said to call them and they would be GLAD to follow up on the info.

This number is also NOT on the NC Secretary of State website as a LICENSED charity solicitor.    Can we say scam?

This organization has nothing to do with Winston-Salem Firefighters but has something to do with their union. No line firefighter has seen one penny or received any fire prevention material from this operation. If you want to donate time or resources call Winston-Salem Fire Department at 336-773-7800. Like all fire departments they have a wish list for non budgeted items.
