Person calls, but when I answer they do not say anything

Person calls, but when I answer they do not say anything.

I have been called 3 times so far this week. If it's unknown I don't bother answering it! I figure if it's important they leave a message.

Called us twice a day yesterday & today.  When I called back to the number, the line was busy.

Multiple calls during past week - no one on the line. Tried to call back three times and received busy signal

call at 7pm caller identified herself as calling for the Wilmington Morning Star Newspaper. Wanted to update my newspaper subscription to include seven day delivery for the same price of 3 days. Wanted to bill 3 months in advance but needed my credit card number... right like that was happening. Told her I would go to the newspaper business office in person to make this happen. She got very testy.... I hung up.

I'm from Wilmington,NC  There is no newspaper called the 'morningstar'
It's called the Wilmington Star News.  So you were wise Not to give your credit card #.

I'm from Wilmington as well.  The paper used to be called the Morning Star several years ago, but was changed to Wilmington Star.

A whitepages.com reverse lookup showed the number was from Burlington, NC and was unlisted.  I'm sure a business would list their phone number and
I highly doubt that the Wilmington Star has an office, billing or otherwise, 3 hours away. There is an office in neighboring Brunswick county.

2nd time this week i received a call from this #.........I pick up .. no one answers... *69.. i call line busy...

I have received multiple calls from this number each day over the last few days.  When I return the call to the same number their voicemail says that I have reached the voicemail box of Turnkey Solutions.

I live in Wilmington, NC.  The solication calls I get to subscribe to the Wilmington Star News come from California, never from North Carolina.

recieved call, said he was from Nation Pro-Life Organization (no such indepentent organization) that was non-profit but funded by the government, asked my political affiliation and if I was pro-life or pro-choice. Called back and message machine identified them as Tunkey Solutions. I cannot find a business with this name, yet.

Sounds fishy. I have a cell phone, so it may be a long hand method to get #'s and polling/voting stats. Or a scam: I don't know which.
