Silence when answered.  Did not wait long for a response.

ID says ASSC POLL  Silence after said "Hello."  Canned messages often do that to give answerer a lot of time to say things - then they start with the pitch.  Many times, I've said, "Just a minute, I have to get my mother." then put phone down and go back to what I was doing.  Doesn't take but 3-4 minutes and they hang up.  I've even done that with a live voice.  Just hanging up is OK, but might as well annoy them too.  Often get calls that trouble has been detected with my computer.  Ha!  Fun time!  I  ask them "What's a computer?"  And keep asking at least 3-4 other stupid questions and make even more stupid comments.  If they haven't said bye-bye by that time -I tell them I don't have a computer because that's how the bugs from Mars get into the USA.. I would hope that if everybody bugged them, they would get the hint and stop.  But I guess I'm hoping for too much.

Called 3:30 today. CD said ASSN POLL.  I didn't answer.

Called today, but, unlike others here' my CID said Assc Police Res.  Did not answer
