Left NO message...this is crap!! What good is a Federal "Do Not Call List" if EVERYONE is going call? Maybe the "do not call list" is actually a list to be called. Everyone knows how our government screws things up!!! UGH :(

It has nothing to do with companies obeying the No Call List. Debt collectors do not have to obey them (You have to tell them, in writing, to stop calling, and even then they will still call) and scammers will not obey them. The Do Not Call list only pertains to solicitors trying to sell you something. They DO have to obey the Do Not Call list.

Received call from this number, no caller ID name, no message left.  Called number back and it is Portfolio Recovery (1 of hundreds and hundreds of #'s they use).  Never had any collection account, debt owed.  Researched this company and they are involved in several law suits regarding their collection practices.

Thank you for taking the time to actually figure out who this is, instead of submitting "no message left" like some of the other posters around here. There's nothing more annoying than looking up a number and having three pages of "didn't answer, no message, not fair" entries.

I answered this after the 13th call this week... it's Wednesday so that is a lot of calls in a week. Portfolio Recovery Services... they contacted me for information on a distant relative. So apparently while my relative is completely off grid they were able to find me and get my number. I told them to leave me alone and not to call again.

Portfolio is famous for trying to collect on very old debt that is time barred & written off as a bad debt also. But they will harrass anyways. But they will never see a dime from me cause I do not owe them a thing. Also I have sued them once & I guess it will be round two now cause I am sick of them. But they have plenty of money cause they keep paying out.

I got the same message by text. I dont have any outstanding debt. What is this all about?

I didn't get a phone call from the #. I received a text message. Stating UPS was trying yo contact me to receive a package. (Last attempt) I just blocked it
