Caller identified herself as Christine Moss, ID# 640035, and had a thick accent. Says I'm wanted for tax evasion and wants to prevent a law suit. Threatened to send local police to arrest me because I would not cooperate.

Caller identified herself as Michelle Barker with IRS case #640029. Michelle Barker had a heavy Indian/other accent. Stated there is a legal case with charges of income tax evasion and the call was being recorded, 3-way call with authorities. Said case will be referred to police department. This is a SCAM. IRS will not call like this asking for money, they will send something in the mail. PLEASE SHARE AND DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY.

Same thing as other people have reported : IT'S FRAUDSTERS! They call themselves "IRS" AGENTS.

I got the same call while at work. Was unable to return call during work hours, but called after work around 4pm EST.
No one would pick up the phone and there is no phone system in place identifying the business or to provided voice mails for any missed calls they may receive. It is more likely a SCAM!!!  IRS will not call like this asking for money, they will send something in the mail. I had a friend that the REAL IRS need to talk to and the initial contact to him was a letter sent through the US MAIL and NOT A PHONE CALL.
