Yeah I had the same call! I spoke with a Johnny Carso several times. He even offered to pay off a credit card so I could pay the fees and then when I didn’t have a credit card, he sent me a $7000. Personal check from some lady on a bank in IN. Of course I called the bank. Of course it was a bogus check. He still claimed he would get me my $750,000.00 sweepstakes winnings! Yeah right.
    I’m still checking him out!

This nothing but the tired old advance fee scam. No legally run sweepstakes contest requires you to pay fees to receive your winnings. All taxes are deducted automatically. Since he sent you a bogus check by mail you can either take it, the envelope and all contact information on him to the Post Office to give to the Postal Inspectors as Mail Fraud or take it all to your bank and see if they can turn it over to the appropriate authorities to investigate as check fraud.  Since it was sent interstate to you, the FBI is another place who could investigate and go after this criminal.

Received the same call; a message was left claiming I had unclaimed funds from a sweepstake. I did not call back, but googled the number. After reading your reviews, I have no intentions of calling them. Thanks for your posts. It saved me a lot of time and effort. I pray that the proper authorities find, convict, and imprison these con artists. My message to them: repent of their sins, repay the victims who fell for their lies, AND get a law-abiding job like the average law-abiding, God-fearing human being!!!

He didn't, as scammers say all sorts of things in mass callings, so someone is bound to fit the scheme they are pulling that day. They hope someone is greedy enough to miss the fact that any winnings never require a fee, as all Fees & Taxes are deducted from the winnings.
