The call claiming to be from irs and that you owe money.  Scum bags

Trying to get money from foreign students, claiming they will be arrested otherwise.

Bogus number that calls pretending to be the IRS to get money. The caller sounded like he was high on something with a weird voice.

Called for my college-aged daughter.  Caller sounded Indian or Pakistani and was almost impossible to understand, but said something about a legal complaint being filed against her.

Just called my daughter.  Didnt answer when I called then back. Too bad, I was going to prank them.

Same happened to my daughter today. Did person locate or Know where she was?

Said he was from "IRS Department" - foreign accent - difficult to understand.  Called for my son who has been out for 2 years attending law school.  I asked specifically - are you from the US government Internal Revenue Service?  Yes.  WHen I asked if that was true, then how did he not know that my son had not lived here for more than two years, he hung up.

Scam artist caller pretended to be an IRS agent and that I owned unpaid taxes.  I asked him why I received a refund last year?  Scam artist sounded middle eastern; heavy accent.

I got the same call, south Asian accent claiming to be from the IRS. I said I thought it was a scam and the call ended right away.

phishing scam.  same scenario as many others have posted.  i keep calling back as there are some additional words i'd like to share with this person, but the line has been disconnected.

Called me this morning saying he was from the IRS and that they had discovered some fraudulent activity associated with my identity. Knew my full name. Asked me if I had been contacted from the local authorities yet. I hung up--don't give these people your info! Indian or Pakistani accent.

Called asking to speak to Sue - my daughter in college.  Hung up when I said I was her Mother.  I called back and asked who I was speaking to - foreign accent said Federal Investigations.  I said you just called and asked to speak to my daughter and he hung up.  Reverse phone lookup says it is a number from NY

Same thing happened to me fifteen minutes ago, I'm a college student, this seems to be their primary target. I want to know how they got my name and phone number! I rarely hand that information out

Caller claimed he was Officer John Marshall from the IRS. Called for my daughter who is away at college.  Said to avoid arrest she needs to call him back because there was a problem with her taxes. He had an accent but not Indian.

Pretended to be in IRS and knew where I went to school. Told me I owed money to the IRS. Heavy Indian Accent. When I started questioning him he hung up.
