I love this website!  Can't wait for these idiots to call me back and I sure hope they don't just hang up like they did the last time because I'm going to have some fun with this one!  We are a company that only deals with other manufacturers and have NEVER advertised.  Thanks for all the info guys & gals. Same scam experience here. They claim I owe them $599 for 2 years of yellow page ads - services rendered. This does NOT sound like something I would do but i told them to please send me the bill. They offered to take off 10% if I took care of that right then over the phone. Now that I see it's a scam, I feel bad for anyone that gives away a credit card number. Hopefully i get a bill with some form of mailing address so I can turn the mailing address over the authorities.

Someone was actually on the other end.  Said she was calling regarding my web listing.  When I told her I didn't have one or want one, she said it would cost $500+ to cancel.  I asked her why should I pay to cancel somethhing I don't have and she hung up.

I just got a call from similar number 347-418-0481.   Same bullsh*t scam!   Woman said we owed $599.00 within 30 days for an internet listing in Yellowbook.   I told her we have no such agreement and to "bring it" because we will sue!   She hung up on me!

This number called me yesterday claiming to be from Yellow Book regarding an online listing. I have gotten many calls over the years from 'Yellow Book" always claiming I agreed to a free listing and paying for the next year. They say they need to verify my information for my listing then throw in that I owe $599.  When I question that since I have NEVER agreed to any listing that cost money they tell me it automatically renewed since I didn't cancel.  I have usually just said I do not want any listing that will cost me any money and hang up.  Lots of times the caller can't even speak fluent English.  Yesterday I actually had someone that could.  They had actually called a couple hours before and harrassed one of my staff that they needed to talk to someone who could authorize this. She told them I'. wasn't there.  I was getting tired of these calls and went thru the whole speel.  Questioned the fees again.  They are supposed to be sending an invoice, however they wanted me to take care of it over the phone.  Thanks goodness I didn't give out any information.  All they have is my address and phone number which they already had before they called.  The caller even asked my name at one point and then was like 'oh yeah you are...'  It sounded way too fishy to me.What seems strange is if you have an advertising client that owes you $599 why would you be calling about their listing automatically renewing?  Seriously if someone owed me that much money I wouldn't be offering anymore services until the account was paid.  It was almost like they wouldn't cancel my listing unless they could send the invoice or have me pay it.   I have no intention of paying them anything. I feel better knowing that others are being harrassed and scammed by them.

I just got the call too. An english speaking woman telling me I owe this that and the other thing. I said no. I told her it was a scam and she said prove it. I told her I didn't have to. She said she would report me to the BBB. I said "go ahead" and I'll report you too. These calls are fun!!!
