Guy with accent (it wasn't Indian, but similar to that) claimed my computer had issues and he claimed he was the only windows service center able to fix it!  He even gave me the impression he might have been contacted by law enforcement about the "problems" with my computer.

The phone number was blocked but when I asked him for his phone number he did give it to me.

I was never able to figure out what he actually wanted to do to my computer (because I wasn't willing to turn it on for him).  When I asked him to tell me what my IP address was (since he knew so much about my computer) he put me on hold to ask a supervisor what my IP address was and then he ended up hanging up on me.

I believe it is a scam. My mother fell for it hook line and sinker. 129.00 later and no way to contact company. Later on I'm going over there to see if I can determine any damage or see what they accessed.

My dad got it this morn. Luckily there are two CS majors in our family so dad didn't let them do anything, and said he would contact his family about it instead. He said it was three people with thick accents, a Roger, a Julian, and a woman who didn't give her name.

I received the same call from an Indian guy who said he was from Microsoft PC support telling me I had issues with my IP address and that they would black list it. Then they gave me this phone number 347-480-2300 to confirm, which I did call and sure enough they answered Microsoft PC support.  I could even hear several people in the background having various conversations about computer support issues. They said that I just needed to reactivate my Microsoft security software and they would walk me through the process.  Of course they wanted $398 to do so.  That's when I realized they were full of BullSh*t.  It's a SCAM.  Try calling that number and it is a non-working number.

Received a call from these scammers this morning. They told me that my PC was in the process of being hacked! They claimed that they had access to an international router and could "see" what was going on with my laptop. The guy had a VERY strong Indian accent. I told him no thank you I was not interested in their help. He became very persistent with me, I hung up on him. Please do not give this company your IP address. I plan on contacting the BBB on this group. Let's stop these scammers!

Received a call from 347-480-2300, a man with an Indian accent said he was Ryan Witson, (right) and our computer had been hacked.  He immediately said I should get to my computer and he would walk me through it.  I told him I wanted his number and I would verify his information.  He claimed to be with Microsoft Support.  Fortunately, I found this site and I know it is a scam.  Thank you for posting your  experiences.

Same thing happened to me claimed my computer was hacked. Indian accent told me he was from Microsoft support called pc support & his name was Max William. Funny thing was he couldn't even say his name correctly. Heard lots of talking in background. When I questioned him on what info he had on me he got very frustrated. I refused to give him my name & said he had the wrong info. Take me off your list. Big scam- very pushy!

Same story- though it was Mr. James Ford.  Same phone number.  He got upset when I said I would be phoning the police.  Seems I was not very grateful to someone who was just trying to help.
