This person is an internet scammer (via Craigslist).  
The scam is the typical one for sellers and their products--"I'll send you money in traveler's cheques plus extra $$ for your trouble."

Yep, Craigslist scammer!

I post on my craigslist added no contact via email or text. The next day thus guy starts texting me

This idiot texted me offering to snail mail pymt plus extra $. I replied that I only accept cash in person. Probly won't hear from them again.

He texted me within hours of my recent post. Offering to pay $$ plus extra because he is out of town and his assistant will arrange shipping.
Scammer.

suspected scammer.  Responded to craigslist post.  Didn't see it through, but I'll bet they'll probably do the old send a check/money order and then ask for a refund before the check clears, then cancel the check.

I'm selling my Xbox he emailed me AND texted me from this number I told him 3 times cash only and he kept saying he'll send a money order..

I'm selling my refrigerator on Craigs List and he just texted me that his assistant would send me a money order for $50 more than I am asking

I always give them a ficticious police officers title and the local police departments address. That usually works and I get a kick out of freaking out the scammers. LOL Merry Christmas !

This person sent me a text, the usual I will send extra money, What I do is I let them spend the money on the stamp and then I get the check and post the picture in craigslist so everyone can seet it.

Shope safe and only local buyers.
