This is a phishing scam. Posing as IRS they try and scare you, threaten you with arrest and imprisonment. call was from 347 535 4671 and calls from the same pool of numbers 347 535 46xx have also been reported elsewhere. If you get a call from the IRS and you have any doubts, hang up and call the real 800 number for the IRS.

Threatening and trying to get money

A person claiming he was with the IRS by the name of Shawn Arkinson badge # 23015090 calling from 347-535-4671 said I owed money because of filing inconsistencies and that I funded something foreign started screaming at me & told me I was going to be arrested in the next 30-45 minutes. I asked for more info and he gave me completely wrong information.

A woman left me a voicemail and said that I owe money to the IRS. I called them back on another phone line and she could not pull up who I was by my first and last night and became very upset that I would not give her my cell phone number. She then proceeded to tell me that I am going to be arrested and that the IRS is coming after me and then hung up on me.

Just got a call from this number, I think we should all call them back and pretend we are from IRS:)

It's a total scam and the same thing as mentioned in the posts above. Someone with a heavy accent left a message and they threatened legal action via the IRS. They asked I call back. If the IRS wants to take action, you usually get an official letter first. Do not respond or give any information to these criminals.

say he was with irs and i need to pay a fee. yell and use bad words.
