They keep spamming my phone with text messages for loan solicitation.
I would like it to stop! I registered my number a few months ago with the Do Not Call Registry.

Getting spam text messages from this number.

Recieved Text SMS:  
"Thanks 4 visiting our site Call 1877-704-6317 to Claim your $200 retail voucher!  Gift code:"  etc

I have texted nobody, and have no idea why I got this spam.

I got the sam thing as Jose, telling me I visited their site.  THIS IS SPAM  Doesn't the no call list take care of texts?  IF not, then how do you block a number from texting, my phone will block numbers that call but not texting.  Any Ideas?

It is a short code SMS.  Reply with the word STOP and it will remove your number from the distribution list.

Hi, I just got the same message today from 347-925-5873. I was on the computer but I did not go to a site on my cell other than my bank 30 minutes prior to the message. I know for a fact that my bank is not giving me anything let alone $200 worth, if anything they would be charging me to go there!

Received text from this phone number saying:

Your FREE $20 Wal-Mart Card plus $50 Gas Card,

2end reply stop"

I have never visited any website that has required me to give them my cell phone number, nor permission to text me.

just got exact same msg - im going to block their number now.

I keep a text message from this number (up to 3 times a day). They want me to call 1-877-704-6317 to claim my $25.00 gift card from Wal-mart and $50.00 in FREE gas. I never give out my cell phone number out and I don't have text!! STOP TEXTING ME!!!

How do you block a number?

I have received two of these messages, today I replied STOP to the text.  We'll see if that really works.

I too have gotten the "thanks for visiting my web site and claim your prize........." that was about 5 hours ago. Just got another one - with another message" Want a laptop? while supplies last? visit us: laptop33.com.

Hmm. Might that be the website or another part of their scam?  Not that I want a laptop, but I'd like to check out their web page and see what it is. I'm too scared!

Have received three messages, supposedly from Walmart, Target, and then one thanking me for visiting their website. Haven't done any of these, did type stop. Hope it works.

They are probably spamers sending an email to a list of numbers since your number is usually associated with the text email.  So you can email yourself or others from gmail, yahoo, msn, etc for SMS text messages.

I got the same msg about 1 wkly. I'm blocking the no. today.

Received a test from this number on 7/1/2010.  I didn't give out my number.  It stated: "thx 4 visiting our site Call 1 877-704-6317 to claim Your FREE $20  Wal-Mar Card plus $40 Gas Card, Gift Code: RRV200 2end reply stop.  This is the first time I received a text from this number.  I did not call back their 877 number.

The do not call list is worthless.  It's only for law-abiding businesses.  The pond scum that is spamming your phone doesn't give a rip about any list.  

They sent me a message that said, "Want a laptop?  While supplies last! LAPTOP33.COM.

As with all spam, the spammer is put on my do not purchase list and I will never EVER do business with them.  If only the rest of the world would do the same we would be rid of these vermin.

If only we could charge them for the text.

I got spamed from another number from the same area code. I txted back STOP, then I got spamed again from this number.

did anyone recently sign upfor Hilton Honors, or other hotel points program? My spam calls began after i enrolled at Hilton....now I WILL NEVER STAY AT A HILTON PROPERTY AGAIN. THey admitted that they give #'s to "their partners"......total B.S.
