I receive numerous calls from strange numbers where I know no one. This caller ID says Marion County TN. Two calls within three minutes. No messages. Phone is registered in Ocala Florida. Next hour I get a call from Minneapolis MN 612 752 9054. caller ID "Twin cities."    Both numbers have similar profiles - Dot Indian with heavy accent represents Microsoft wants to fix your computer it is in danger. Hostile, aggressive, determined voice. Wants remote access. Once two weeks ago a similar person referenced my legitimate Dot Indian repair service and said they were out of business and he was authorized to me a refund of my unused purchase price. He asked me to type in web site number in order to enter an ID number which grants him direct remote access to my computer. No way. ended call he keeps calling back with no number. caller ID shows "Anonymous."  This is the refund scam.

Hang up. No message.

Calling early in morning and late at night. Phones several times a day.

I just now (9:40am on 11/4) received the same type of call, although it was from an woman with an Indian accent. She said that she was calling from Windows because my computer was reporting errors. I told her that my computer was fine and she said "I know but your computer is sending us errors". I told her that I'd give her my IT Director's phone number and she then said, "You don't want our phone number?" When I asked her who I was speaking with she hung up.
The number that appeared on my phone is the fax number listed for the Marion County, FL Tax Collector's office. Additionally, when I Googled that tax collector's website, a message under the site link appears and states, "THIS SITE MAY BE HACKED".

This Indian accented person calls at least once a week regarding my problem with my computer.

They just called and I was unable to grab it right away. When I said hello they didn't answer and when I said hello again they hung up. I noticed my answer machine was blinking and it sounded like a woman with sn Indian accent saying something I couldn't make out .

A woman with a heavy Indian type accent called saying that she was speaking on behalf of BT. She told me that she was investigating internet problems that BT, Sky and Virgin customers were experiencing. I told her that my internet was not supplied by any of the providers she had listed. She informed me that BT controlled all the telephone lines in the UK and that my internet has shown to be one of the ones that had been reported as been faulty. I refused her request to turn on my computer because my wife pays the bill for our Internet service and as she was not present to give her permission. My refusal to co-operate made her angry and said that she would ring back later, then she hun up. Our 1471 service provided me with the number she had called from and when I googled it I was led to this site.

Just has a call from this number but they hung up as soon as I answered

This number was spoofed years ago. It is no longer in use by the company that it belongs to for this reason
