352-392-2828 call with ID of Univ. of Fla. The phone rang 3 times and they hung up.
Was this just another phony call?

If you are not a UF alumni, probably the number used to belong to someone who was, or they dialed it wrong.  Most likly doing the annual call to solicit donations and update the mailing records on alumni.

Well I am an alumni, and I donate to the University.  Hanging up on me is not a way to solicit contributions.

I keep getting calls from this number but they never leave a message. They call almost every day and it's getting annoying. Sometimes the phone rings two or three times, or sooner than I can get to the phone, and then they hang up. I called the number back and a recorded message said, you have reached the Univerisity of Florida phone program."  Who in the world has something called a "phone program?"  I looked this up on-line and found nothing listed. I donate 3-4 times a year to UF. This is a perfect way to cease my donations by annoying me constantly. STOP calling.

I'm having the same problem with these calls.  I'm a UF alum but have never donated money, as I also worked for them at low wages for 12 years in a staff position and was treated very poorly by my supervisors.  I don't know how they got my cell phone number...

Got a call from this number, didn't answer but did the *67 ###-###-#### trick on call back and they answered as UF Alumni Association. I am alumni and used to live there - 352-392-XXXX is at the University of Florida. Don't know if they are LGBT (LOL) as the other call mentions, but he is a pretty funny guy.

Get repeated calls from 352-392-2828 to my cell phone number.    Always on weekends, such as 5/31 at 3.42pm, and they never leave a voice mail message.    Gainesville phone number.

I just received a call from this number at 9:00 pm on a Sunday!!  How utterly rude!  I will block it for sure.

Why are they calling us.. a currently enrolled student barely able to pay predatory landlord rent, tuition, absurdly high textbooks..and you hit us up for even more money?  Seriously...so obtuse.  You make the school look GREEDY!

Probably the university forcing students to annoy alumni.  Just BLOCK it.

Pretty much same as all others.....called during w/end....Sun mid pm....saw area code and decided not to take it since I recognized the area code, and assumed correctly the purpose of the annoyance.

I relate to Beth but for another reason.  At the time of my graduation, UF threatened to withhold my degree until I paid an ALLEGED parking fine thay amounted to about $4 or $6.  Not having time for such pettyness, I forked over the chum change (had more value to me back then) in order to move on, but vowing to never ever again make another "contribution" or "donation" in the future (since I was then OUT OF THERE!).  It was nothing but extortion.

So now I hold the cards, and not even a penny in "donations" or "contribution" have I ever given to UF since graduation in over 30yrs, and proud of it.

Pathetic ...... and how many millions do they roll in during the Fall on Saturdays?

Same as the rest.  Calls once a week or so.  6 p.m. Sunday so they are blocked.  I'm a U.F. alumni.

It is almost certainly a computer program auto dialing; it likely only connects the call to a human if you actually answer. No point in being angry at a computer program, it likely was told to hang up after three rings, and is merely doing its job.
