This number called me too but didn't answer. Telemarketer?

Got a call today..no one there

They call almost everyday and I do not answer and they leave no message. Caller ID displays "out of area" so there is good chance it is a scam. However, information from other websites say it is a police union begging for donations. Apparently, police do not make a decent wage or benefits and wish to pick the pockets of the general public.

Got a call from this number. The caller asked if my name was Robert. I said yes and he hung up.

CID shows: None. did not answer.
Master dorks.

We have just started getting calls nightly. You'don't think these people would like some time off. They call after 8:30PM.

Same deal, asked "Is this _____" and then hung up when I said yes.

Call comes from Aberdeen, WA. Don't know anyone there. I refuse to answer. Calls every day

Sounds like it might be the scam that gets you to say yes (can you hear me?) And then they've got you on a recording saying yes to whatever they're selling. A way to get into your accounts.

Called and asked for my wife by name.  Rather than call her to the phone I asked; "May I ask who is calling?"
Rather than answer the question correctly, he said; "Ah, perhaps you can help me.  This is unintelligible name with 'paid charity something or other' ...

I said; "Goodbye!" and hung up the phone

Asked for me by name. Would I donate to Police Officers' (Deceased?) fund or similar? Said no. "How about just $15?" Nope. Click. Anyone know if this outfit is legit? Why am I suspicious?

Anal pores tried to hassle me today.
