Things to know:

The IRS does NOT call you.  They either send you a letter, or they appear in person, and show you an ID card.

The IRS does NOT have to file a lawsuit.  They are an administrative agency.  They tell you how much they think that you owe, and you either pay it or you don't.  After that, they can seek administrative remedies, without going to court.

Did they threaten to have you arrested?  The IRS doesn’t do that either.  It's an administrative agency.

It's best not to answer another call from this number, or to call them back.

They left message that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. And that I needed to call right away! These sorry individuals that try to make a living this way!

Effers called twice in two minutes, avoiding my do not disturb list. Called during "dinner hours" which is my sleep time. Left message, then called again an hour later.
I want to reach through the line and choke someone.
