Fake IRS lawsuit scam. Synthesized voice.

Synthesized voice message from this number claiming a warrant issued in my name. Total scam.

just received a call but did not answer, no message left.  guess it wasn't that important that they scam me, huh?  don't know the caller, don't answer the call.  don't leave me a message, then I won't return your call.  simple as that.  quit clogging up the phone system!!!

Synthesized voice says there's an IRS lawsuit out for me. Yeah right.

Total scam. They just called my wife. I called them back, and they answered as the IRS. I told them i was going to call the feds and they hung up on me.

Same as everyone else....Only difference from other comments is that this is my SECOND call in two days. I got the same call yesterday from (202) 470-3304, only the synthesized voice was female.

I filed my taxes 6 days ago using turbo taxes free edition....perhaps there is a connection?

Absolutely the same as above. Would be interested to know what the scam is. Probably some sort of payment to clear one's account.

Got a message saying there was a warrant out of my arrest and before they took action for me to call 361-244-4224. (Caller ID show it to be a Washington DC number.)  When I called the number back a man with a strong Indian accent told me that he was with the Internal Revenue Service. At that point I cut him off and told him he was full of [***]. (I know the IRS doesn't call, I've seen it on the news.) He started yelling my name. (Which I never gave him) And I hung up. Then about 2 hours later I got a second call. (Caller ID showed it was from Kansas) Left the same sort of message. This time when I called the number a woman with Indian accent answered Internal Revenue Service how may I help you. I told her she could help me by stop calling me b/c I knew it was a scam. She hung up.

I get these calls almost daily!! Men's Indian voice, yesterday it was a female voice. They say they have filed a lawsuit against me, that I will be arrested all kinds of crazy stuff. When I asked him to send me a certified letter he said they don't do that! I wish someone could put a stop to these calls!

Just as i suspected! I got a call yesterday while driving from upstate NY to Maine, but didnt answer it, listened to it later & called the number back, but it just rang.  Tried calling it this morning but it won't connect at all, just drops the call.  It was a synthesized voice saying a warrant for my arrest has been issued, and they want to soeak to me before further action is taken, "to resolve tis issue.  They didnt identify themselves, nor did they say just what the issue is.  JERKS!!
A few months ago i got a scam call trying to collect a debt i had paid off YEARS ago to Capital One.  They ALSO said a warrant for my arrest had been issued, but these were actual men calling.  It was supposedly regarding a credit card i had for my business.  I lead them on, got a TON of info from them, and then reported them to the State of Maine Attorney General.  I called them one last time, still acting dumb & naive, like i was seriously telling them i was going to pay them, AND...THEN told them i had reported them to the state of maine AG, and suddenly and strangely, my call was disconnected!  HAHAHAHAHA!!  Never heard from them again, imagine that!!

I feel badly for the older folks getting these calls!!  That could be pretty scary& upsetting for them!!!
