7000 dollars from gov. my ass what do these people think americans are stupid

yeah just got a call about 7000 Dollar grant from the government  this number showed up on my phone 1 7407518257 Cincinnati,OHIO   and they said i had been given this grant bull [***] they are trying to pull a scam on people. they tell you to call this number and conform the information that the lady gave you on the phone. there is also a lot of  loud noise in the back ground during the whole call.

I almost called, thank god I googled it first.... They ask a lot of questions. An am so dumb that I answer then. Now I feel like stupid....

This woman called and asked for the last 4 digits of social I gave it to her she had a real thick accent I had a hard time understaning her she promised a 7000 dollar grant told me to call this number I called the guy he said his name was martin he had a real thick accent too he told me to take 210 to the nearest western union to collect my grant when he asked for money I hung up I don't have 210 to spe.d I wish someone would stop these people from screwing with us I'm not stupid I gave them my social but they already had everything else I don't care if they have my info my credits so far in the dump the worse they could to it is pay it I am more than 500000 in debt due to medical bills I needed  the money but I'm not falling for low life scams I can't afford to. Im a single parent my kids dissabled and I have no job why do people.play these evil games.

These people tryed to get me too. They wanted me western union 310 dollars to the nearest atm.

My daughter received a call from this number.  They told her she was going to receive a Grant from the Gov.  Had all her information.  They gave her a call back number and told her to call back and give ID #A1007.  She called me at work.  I immediately returned the call.  I believe my company name must have shown up on their caller ID.  First time, no answer, second time, a guy answered with a very heavy accent.  I asked whom I was speaking with and he asked me who I was.  I told him I was calling to verify a call my daughter had received.  I told him I was having trouble understanding him.  He hung up.  I called back and no one answered.

Called my cell phone and new my name and address.  Said they were calling on behalf of the US government offering me a "once in a lifetime" grant. I was eligible for the grant because I pay taxes, have not claimed bankruptcy, and something else.  I was picked at random...lol.  Sure, our government is going to have people who barely speak english call americans and give us free money...lol.  I hope no one is stupid enough to think the government is giving out cash.

My boyfriend got a call from these ppl the same 2ppl with heavy accents he actually western unioned them 310 he didn't get his"grant" and they stopped answering the phone they then called the next morning they called him and said his money is pending and he needs to send 730 more dollars n omg hes going to do it someone please help me convince him its FAKE!!!!

Only verified name and address with person on phone said to call the number, called it no answer. eff that i would never send any money to a grant place the definition of a grant is free money to help you go back to school, start a business or buy a home. FREE MONEY!!!

they do but you have to fill out the correct forms to go back to school, or start a business or even buy a home they do not select you at random

i just got a call telling me my name got picked and they was sending me a 9200.oo BUT i was to give them 149.00to western union  it i talked to three people i said if i have won it why do i need to send you money i told  the last lady i talked to that they were pooping in high cotton if they thought i was falling  for that  i told her to send it thur the post off. and i would sigh for it but nooo it would go into my checking OR western union i wish i new some one to call and report them it was two ladies and a man that i talked to and the number that they called from was blocked BUT i have the number they gave me it was 360-244-4334

I was told I was able to reviece a 9200 grant from US Gov. if this were true why are you calling block when no other government agency does? I asked the guy and the line went blank and he proceeded to ask me the same questions. He also had a Middle Eastern accent which was even less convincing. I asked him to give me his government branch and he told me he wasn't allowed to share that info. I was also given a confirmation number with the number 360-244-4334 to call back to which I never did, though I did block it.

I  got the same call today that I have been randomly selected to get 9,000 I have worked for a call center before and I know the procedure of identifying yourself as legitimate company calling their customers the number the guy gave me is 360-244-4334 and said tha I qualified because I have not had a bankruptcy and that is B.S I knew that is how this was not government related so people watch out they just changed the last four numbers they are just trying to steal information!!! Or fund who knows what kind of operation. Thick accent and did not understand my educated English grammar.

I have received the same calls.  They never asked for money, because I kept asking questions, such as how do I know this is the Federal government?  Are you really in Washington D.C.?  How do I know that you are not a fradulant company? I also said "I took a survey?"  I knew they were not real.  I never answered with yes, I always said hmm or I hear you, I am listening, etc.  He told me to call the senior contact official.  But I looked online and reported to the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov).  Their phone number to file a complaint is 1-877-382-4357.  I hope this helps you.

I had received a phone call stating that I was chosen to receive a 7000 grant because I have filed my taxes on time no bankruptcy and then he told me that I don't have to pay the money back all I have to do is pay $180 dollars in order to recieve this grant

Pretty much the same thing happened here they gave me an ID number AR359 and ask me to call 360-244-4597 and ask for Steven Cooper

I had a phone call 2014 from one lady and she told me, i won grant money of 9250$ because i pay tx and bill on time i dont have bankrupcy and she told me to call back to federal treasury (360 244 4597) and ask for david jenkins
i call and 1 guy ans the call he transffer the to david he told pay 310$ i order to get this free because i didn't not apply for this grant so pay  310 and after 10 mints i recieve 9560 i never expect but i got.
