This is a scam. A government office won't call and leave this message. You would get certified mail that would require you to go somewhere so they could chew you up and spit you out.

Received a call today stating the IRS is suing and I should call 360-262-6451.  Sounded like it might be one of those computer generated voices.  It was so obviously a scam.  I hope no one falls for it.  Everyone seems to be choosing Political Call as the call type.  Scam call needs to be added as a choice.  It's not really a political call and prank call doesn't really describe it either.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I got a call about a month ago from a TX area code from a socalled IRS agent with a heavy accent. Almost gave me a heart attack about falsely reporting information on my taxes and they were filing a lawsuit against me. After about 20 min into the convo and they tried to get me to agree to some sort of payment, I told them that I will be calling them back and they informed me that I cannot discuss this matter with anyone and that if I did, my credit score would be affected. OK?? Then they informed me that the authorities would be informed and warrant would be issued for my arrest, then hung up on me! After that, I did my research and found them to be a scam and reported the matter on the IRS website and FTC.

Well, yesterday 3/9 I received a recorded msg from the 360 (WA) stating that IRS was going to file a lawsuit against me and for me to call them immediately! I looked up the # and again, scam. Don't they have anything else better to do than to scare the living crap out of people?! These people work in connections so people, please be careful and do not fall for this scam!

I got the same call from the same # and told to call the same # as you.  When I called to see what it was about since part of the message was cut off; however, I did hear something about being sued, the phone just rang and rang and then went to a busy signal.

I wish the phone calls from this number would stop.  I normally do not answer, and one time I did.  It is about a lawsuit from the IRS.

I received a message that said I there was a lawsuit against me. The message contained no case number to reference and provided no company identification. I tried calling the number back twice, but the call disconnected each time. I was unable to speak to anyone. I researched the number and came across this site identifying similiar messages.
