Well, when I answered (even though I knew it was a b.s. call )  I got a gal who sounded as American as apple pie. Asked for a  "J...." . When I said she had the wrong number she changes the subject and asks if I had gotten calls from Payday Loan companies lately.
Indeed I had(and from various numbers)  but all I told her was that I considered her call a "junk call" and to not call here again.
It scares me though, as one person wrote here:
"If you fill out any online loan applications including major us banks car loans mortgage companies, their worm gets through the web security, examples Ally bank, Chase to let you know how big this is "

Plus we hear daily in the news that there is cyber-warfare going on right now....
Time to write to the agencies responsible.

just got a call from this number and did not answer, do not know who it is, please stop calling

I have received calls for the last six months from various "Names" that have this heavy India accent with the same ole song and dance. I have tried to tell them they are reported to FBI, FCC, and everything under the sun, but they don't seem to care and just keep calling with new phone numbers. Some wireless networks will let you block up to five numbers for free, but after that they charge you for each additional number blocked. So now I just don't answer the phone if I don't know who it is. Somebody needs to pull the wires out of India and no phones aloud if they can't be honest people. Get real India, get a life and not bothering the USA!

I've been getting calls like this for at least 3 to 4 years now.  I finally got smart and block ALL incoming calls on my cell phone (except my contacts).  That way if they need to they can leave a message which doesn't do them any good.  I then save themjust in case I may need to report them.  Yeah it is a pain in the [***] gettting all these calls but at least my phone isn't ringing off the hook!!!

I wonder how many of the people getting these calls are registered on dating sites and which ones if so

Got a call from 360-322-6056. I did not answer, it's a scam.

All hours of the day and night, these calls come in!  I don't answer them because I don't recognize the number.  I have no bad debt, this is very annoying!!

Calls me and when I answer it just beeps and they hang up

They keep calling and threatening to have the sheriff come to my job site and deliver papers.  Out of fear or to escape embarrassment I told them I didn't work there any more and to stop calling.  Any suggestions to get them to stop?

Got a call on Wed 2-20-13 from this number but they didn't leave a message.  Truecaller app shows the number as a Spam Loan.

Is there a way I can block numbers that come up as unknown or all 0's from my land line phone?
