This number called us today and Hung up on answering machine. We are also on the do not call list. Thanks.

Starting to get these calls again nearly everyday.  Put on DNC list.  No avail.

Suggest you get a different number then, unless your post is also a scam !

I get a message from this number at least twice a week.  Hangs up when you tell them to take you off their list.  I am on the National Do Not Call register, makes no difference to these people.  I would love to put them "out of the carpet cleaning business".

Please let us know if you do this.  I may do the same if they are not "threatening" as I'm home alone during the day

Carpet cleaning scam

There have been repeated calls from this number - a robocall regarding carpet cleaning. I have called the number back at least three or four times over the past couple of months and get a recording saying to press #1 to be removed and that it will take 72 hours to remove. Today, I pressed button to "make an appointment" and got a live person. She immediately hung up on me when I said I had previously asked to be removed.

Reported it once to the Do Not Call Registry before the shutdown.

Carpet cleaning... so annoying. I have my number registered under "do not call registry" too... Someone's getting reported.

Scam from "Diane" about carpet cleaning

Hello, They called here this am too..No msg.

Just now called me, however, since I didn't recognize the number, I waited for the answering machine to kick in...they hung up before it activated.
     Saw a couple of things on the forums regarding these callers and am using them myself to help ease the nuisance factor, however, won't totally stop the calls. Hopefully these procedures may work for all of you.
     For the land line, see if you can run a block on your phone line for numbers you place into it. These numbers would of course be the "scammers" whom you do not want hear.
      On my phone system I have two options one for "ANONONYMOUS CALLERS": (no phone number OR name shown) scammers, blocked, private, I block them by using *77 on my phone - it will give you directions on how to continue. If it is someone who is legitimate they will leave a message on my voice mail.
     The other option is phone numbers that show on your CALL SCREEN and you recognize them as scammers (or look up the numbers on forums like this one to see if they are): to block, I dial *60 and follow cues.
     When I have a new number that rings through then I drop one of the earlier numbers and replace it with the newest, like this one ( system only accepts approx. 10 at a time).
     Now the cell phone: place the nuisance phone number into your Save Contact directory>new contact>work>scroll to phone number and save. Now go to the phone number>options>contact details>default ringer>change>and choose "NO RINGER". Now when they call, I'm not disturbed because I don't hear it.
      Granted, it may not stop these calls being made, however I'm no longer interrupted and frustrated by them. Also I noticed the old numbers I exchanged with the new numbers are rarely in my future calls, they seem to have dropped off the radar.
     Hope this helps take away some of the frustrations.

Robo call from Diane about carpet cleaning

Criminal TeleScammers bilking you on any home service they can hook you on, (duct cleaning/carpet cleaning etc). Stolen number being spoofed. Violating Federal and CA Do Not Call Registry Laws.

I get this call roughly three times a day about carpet cleaning and it is a recorded message.   When asked to be removed they HANG-UP.  I called back and pressed number 1 to be removed about six times and they still call.  This has got to stop.
