It's an IRS scam number claiming to file suit.  Number comes back out of WA state?

Received a call claiming they were the IRS and they are filing a law suit against us.

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Calls originate in India and Pakistan.  They spoof local numbers.  They also don't know the difference between Washington State and Washington DC.  Which is why they chose some place in Washington State for their CIDs.  Total scammers.  Ignorant of  US political subdivisions too.  Ignore and block the calls  Total scam.

Beware of this scam Google IRS scams and please report them . So others will not get scam in my town people went the mayors office and they been wearing people in the town about and even posting it on face book also. Spoofing numbers saying final notice lawsuit scam

Received a call on Fri Nov 13 claiming to be the IRS collection agency for taxes. I knew I didn't owe any taxes and that the IRS never calls you on the phone. So I knew right away it was a scam .They  asked for my SS# and I told them I would not give it to them they hung up

The caller left a message saying that the IRS was bringing a law suit against us.  I called back, suspicious to begin with, and the person answering said his name was Jack. He was speaking from a cell phone, not a proper desk phone, because the reception was not good.  I asked him why he left a message on my home answering machine, and he said that he was from the IRS etc.  I said no you are not, your are  a scam, and you should be ashamed of yourself.  At this point, he hung up.  It was definitely fraud, but very amateurish.

There should be the option for inputting "Fraud" or "Scam" in the Call Type bar.  I put "Prank, but that does not adequately express the nature of the call.

Wrong area code. IRS is a 202 code. Anyway the IRS will never call you. They will contact you by mail. Unless you state otherwise.
